In need of a colour scheme for a Har Ganeth force.

Well, up to now my DE have been the standard army book paint scheme, however now i'm having a new army I thought it would only be fitting to have a new paint scheme to go with it.

The army is Har Ganeth themed, and contains mostly warriors, Executioners and some bolt throwers. What pain schemes could I use to represent the Har Ganeth theme, or failing that do you think there would be any scheme that would look good on an army?

I would be tempted to go with a Red black and orange scheme as the colours look very good on the new Executioners, the trimming could be orange and the cloaks red.

Colour really depicts the mood of the army that you want...

A deep purple with bright green trimming could be alright too...

I always imagine Har Ganethi forces to have red cloaks and black or silver armour. Executioners can be different as they are the elites.

i like the way, execs are presented in the darkblade books:
red cloaks and black armour.

I really think you should read Warpsword, the 4th novel in the Darkblade series for a little inspiration for your army, seeing as the book takes place almost entirely in Har Ganeth.

Failing that, I can tell you that in the novel the standard Temple zealots (aka your warriors) wore white robes, while the higher ranked and more important zealots wore red robes. Hope this helps

Just did mechrite red drybrushed with red core and a brown wash for the armour, i think it could use some blood red for highlights.

Girathon, those zealots sound like Ku Klux Klan.

Anyway, I use a red and gold/silver colourscheme, and it looks quite good. I paint the shoulders and the helmet with Shining Gold, and the breastplate is Chainmail. The leaders have fully gilded armour (except the chainmail, it's Chainmail

).

I hope not, I haven't read the Darkblade novels yet, but I'll give them a try... soon.

I like the red scheme too, but the white is also nice. I have been thinking about using a white scheme earlier, but I haven't tried it. But it looks great. I'd go with the red one, because it looks more Druchii, white is for Asur, unless you're in for impersonating High Elves, which is also the Druchii way.
