Greetings

I have finally finished painting my block of 20 spear elves, as well as my 12 RXB elves.

Shield Rack
This is a shield rack that I made to show my opponent (and to remind myself) that my RXB elves are equipped with shields.

Cheers!

Congratulations!

Personaly I like the colour scheme being on the dark side doesn't exclusivelu wearing dark clothes...all druchii armies are full of them :P and nice layering technique too, keep up the good job.

Just a thought: maybe it would look even better if you added the ame boltgun metal mix you put on chainmail to the armour itself...I mean some chaos black with boltgun metal highlighted with mithril/chainmail would make the black armour fit in with the rest.

Single combat I await
My shadow brings them fear
The spikes upon my chariot
Will grind them when they're near...

The painting is at a very high standard and the colour scheme looks remarkably well. I'd love to see how the scheme works with other units than warriors. Keep up the good work!

Very nice! I am interested what color you will use for any cold ones in this army.

Excellent quality painting. The colours look great, the gold armour I like, and it is without doubt a quality paint-up you should be very proud of.

Very nice. The gold looks great on the shields and you pulled off the yellow really well for our army. I too think just a little more color on the back of the black armor may help, as shading/contrast as kristo said.

Woot! If it's only ever said once, I couldn't ask for a better person to say it.

When I started painting my DE, I wanted to do the boltgun/mithril highlight on the black armor edges. But I decided against it, since it reminds me of armor that is “chipped”. My argument was that my house actually maintains there armor (i.e. repaints it black after battles). The reason why the black armor edges aren’t showing that well is because I didn’t paint highlight the edges, in stead skipping to just highlighting the extreme edges with gray. On my other models (COC, RBT) I have applied a highlight on the black armor.

The painting is at a very high standard and the colour scheme looks remarkably well. I'd love to see how the scheme works with other units than warriors. Keep up the good work!
