High Elf dragon converted to Black Dragon? (Finished update)

Has anyone posted any pics of the new High elf dragon being converted into a DE black dragon? I started to a while back but am a little stumped on how to finish painting it. I'll post some pics soon

Asur? I aint no high elf!

Hola, My name is Azure and I posted mine up a few weeks ago... Im still testing out inks to finish it up but as for yours the pictures are really to bad to be able to tell much. I would make the rock look a little less black and thats about all i can say!

What?You left the t-rex arms alone?God i think the arms look horrible(why i re sculpted them).One of the pegs also broke for me(pinning ftw).

Now I'm the first to admit I'm not a great painter, and I probably should have spent more time on my armies centre peice, and one of the wings is broken (guess which one, ITS A GAME!!!) But overall I'm happy just to have tainted a HE dragon onto our side.

Any chanse of seeing a picture of the whole dragon? While I don't mind looking at feet, hats and tails, I'd like a overall shot as well. Gives a better idea of what it looks like. You could try taking a pic or two against a background that is a single color, your desk really interferes with the pic.

Other than that, I think it looks good.

so I made one. I do not like the dragon posted before and not for paintjob in itself but because of the way I feel a Black Dragon should look in color. Bikeninja otherwise I think you did a good paint job just color itself bothered me.

Now i based mine off the D&D Monster Manual Black Dragon. Now bear in mind my planed basing isn't done yet. These pics are also kind of blurry but you will get the idea.

My main plan is to eventually make the base more swampy. I intend on mounting both Malekith and a Highborn.

My colour scheme is bad?!?!
Well I guess it isn't a "black" dragon, I tried to get it to match my army (blue cloth with red weapons), but I guess my DE are a little colourful...

I am not saying your color scheme is bad. I am just saying when I invision a black dragon I invision a series of greys in a very dark tone along with greens and black itself. I invision colors nature generally puts on the darker reptilian species. I in fact like how your black dragon is painted I just feel the color is off for it to be a "Black" Dragon

Naw, to be truely honest, other than army appearance, I'm just not good with shading black and greys, and after working so long just to make the dragon, ruining it with a botch paint job would have made me die a little inside.
But ya, black dragons being BLACK DRAGONS makes sense, I get where your coming from.

I have got a dragon and its been converted from the high elf plastic. I found removing the silly side facial horns and mixing up the lords weapons options with dark elf bitz looks great. Also a different colour scheme helps alot (mines Dark angels green with the armour washed repeated so its pretty black)
