back like a heart attack!
most people on this site probably wont remember me, but ill give it a shot.
well, i was on this forum a very, very long time ago. who'd'a guessed it, i went off and joined the USMC, and finally have some time and laptop to myself, so i decided to get back on d.net. if any of you remember me then hello again, and if not, well then i guess hello to all.

i am an 0651, tactical network specialist. currently stationed in 29 palms california though that will (hopefully) change to Iraq by december. and yes, i said hopefully, if you would like me to elaborate on my reasoning (and no, its not because im a blind american fool) feel free to ask. i guarantee you, politics has nothing to do with it.

I'd like to know your reasoning why you would like to be stationed in Iraq (and no that's not because I am an American-hating random guy from Europe )
I'm just interested.
HUZZAH!
the short and skinny of it is:
any service member feels a certain.. kinship. with the marines (at least in my experience) this bond is even stronger. something about the training. now, if i get stationed in Iraq, yes it will suck for me for a year, but im going there to replace one of my fellow marines that hasnt seen his family, held his wife, played with his son, etc. for a year.
ill even get to send him home for Christmas. a lot of people view service in iraq as a burden, well somehow i see it as a gift, not to myself or even my country, but to my corps.
edit: PS. for anyone who cares to look, my in progress photobucket: all kinds of USMC Goodness.
