Well I've done a lot in the past few weeks so here's everything, so far, in the same post. I'll be keeping everything in here from now on.

I've been working on this army for 2 months on&off but recently decided I needed to get a good 2000 pts painted for the tournament (on the 27th of Septembre).

Plan:

Dreadlord, General - Completed

I really love your army. It has a lot of original aspects to it, from the basing scheme to the use of yellow (which was done very well BTW!). The CoB will make a great centerpiece, and will be a great distraction to lonely opponents.

The dark rider conversions look very smooth.

I love it!

What are those harpies from? That is great!

I'd like to shamlessly steal that idea.

That army is going to be top shelf when it is done.

I love the crystals you used on the bases. I was wondering where did you get those from??

Soo cool! But you know what I think would be even more awsome? Glue some snow at the bases! I think that a really good-looking base should have three elements: the ground, the thing that determines season/landscape (ie burned grass= badlands, autumn leaves in autumn ect.) and a third thing that will add a nice variation to the base.
But thats just mine opinion, they do look fantastic!

really cool miniatures! you must have had another thread or something as i remember saying I didnt think yellow could be pulled off on dark elves but it looks really cool! I like the rune on the champion as well, and that cauldron is just sexy :)

My only complaint about your pics is that there's none of rubber duck :(

Great job!

Not entirely happy with the result but itll do!
Primer messed up and powdered up for some reason... weird stuff :\ and I tested multiple colors before stopping on that one and im still not sure its the right colors O:

First time I'm painting a big monster like that heh.

And yes I'm planning on adding Woodland Scenics snow after I'm done with everything.

You know what, I think the hydra adds some nice contrast, and will look good with the rest of the army. So don't be intimidated by it. Stupid primer though, make sure you shake it correctly (GW says vigorously for 1 minute) but I just shake for a while, I usually prime small things.

That is a very well painted unified looking army. Well done on the good work! I really like the crystals, might nick that one. I'm not sure how to base my lot...

how did you get such a neat and precise repeat of the turquiose 'claw' that features numerously on your emblems?

I have to say that this really IS a stunning army! I've been planning for a while to make a druchii army thats themed around autumn shades - yours is more distinct and original then my idea, and coupled with some simple but very effective and good painting methods has produced an EXCELLENT druchii army - definitely one of the best I've ever seen! :D

Oh and I love your Cauldron too! :D
