101 Tips For Fantasy
The idea of this thread is simple, i post one tip (general or Army specific) and then someone else posts another. It will hopefully become a use thread for beginners and advanced players alike, as it should give people some useful ideas and such like. It may even make it in to Draich or the Hall of Frame if its decent. So let it Begin:
Tip 1: Always create a Army list with a Plan, But dont expect that plan to survive contact wilth the enemy.

Somwhere out there is Inquisitor Horatio Caine investigating cults of slaanesh

I'd disagree with that. Definately for novice's and people unsure of how to use the phase, then I'd agree with you. But in the hands of a skilled "Sorcerer" the Magic Phase can be the most devastating phase.
Now if it was "Do not rely on a specific spell" I'd agree whole-heartedly, as a single Dispel Scroll could put paid to that plan. But dismissing the whole phase will get you punished later on.
As for my tip;
Tip 5: Always have a back-up plan.
Having a strategy which fails, but has a backup is a plan.
Having a strategy with no backup is no plan at all.

Milney: this is tips for beginners which is why i said it. I would consider myself an experienced Druchii sorcerer, its the one phase of the game i tend to lean every list towards and have had the most success from. But until you know how to use it, it doesnt always work for you. And even then, miscasts can ruin your day.

Seconded!
Harpies!
Also,
Tip 7: Always bring at least one highly mobile unit, if not more.
Be it Harpies/Dark Riders or even Miners/Gyrocopter. Games can be won or lost in the movement phase!

Tip 11: When all else fails...Blood for the Blood God!
No, really. Sometimes you've got to attack - don't always expect perfect positioning to save the day. Sometimes taking some casualties and a bit of risk will be a valid option, don't discount it.

13: always keep the initiative, when you're reacting to your opponents actions he has control over you and that's a very bad thing in this game!

Tip 14: Take your time deploying your army.
Good deployment can win you the game as well as bad deployment can lose you the game.

Tip 18: Deny your enemy their tactical advantages.
C'mon... ;P stick that unit of harpies behind those saurus with an old blood in it and march block it... you know you want to...
--------> Tip 18.1 : Beware of saurus units with oldbloods (or any other ridiculous combat units - only attack em from several directions or when you are totally sure you'll win)

Tip 20: Better one unit of Dark Riders sacrificed to get the opponent's big huge unit in the flan, than having deployed 10 units of DR's on the table. Be on the right spot at the right time

Use from time to time a Assassin to keep your enemy paranoid, also change your army list as often as you can. Battles are decided in the heads. To face unknown is the worst for every wargamer.
