what i did on my holidays (you might get a laugh)

Post by Faerthurir »

first point to note, latvia is awesome. there are things, however that i found distinctly lacking. here is a list.

1)ginger people other than me

2)people with beards, other than me (literally, no beards or gingers sighted in 4 days in the capital city centre)

3)fat people

4)ugly people

5)happy people.

here are a few friendly pointers should anyone else wish to visit that wonderful country....

*when the waitress says "shall i bring you another shot of absinthe?" the correct answer is to get up, pay and leave.

*people get immesuarably annoyed when you stroll down the streets singing this. I have a theory that this may hold true worldwide.

*no posting while drunk

anyone else done anything silly recently?

I think I heard her sing "Al Gore-acle" so its no wonder people find it annoying...
While running a million dollar company, singing at weddings, and his frequent jetting to Spain Elton Jon style, Dark Alliance found the time to stand on the doorstep of Games Workshop like Moses and the Pharoah and calmly state, "Let my people go."

I really don't know how the hell to interpret your post, feels like a language barrier, no offense rummy.. That song is funny as hell, and turns out I annoyed my roomate, his friend and neighbours alike oh and the 4 people I just linked to it. I find it catchy. :D

Are you saying that the people in Latvia are all thin, pretty and depressed?

Hah, i remember that song from a whole lot of years ago back in school.

We plugged up a few monitors in the hall way and the speakers and had this song and a even more silly video in a loop for days since we locked the door and hid the key. Only way was to unplug each TV and remove the cables.
The monitors were mounted in the roof, 4-5 meters up in the air.

Good times :)

Oh and even we got annoyed by the song after 3 days, and people snuck out the windows rather than walk out to the hallway :D

Did the same thing as a treat when we graduated, but that time we had the Badger song on loop, which is fairly as annoying - but none the less quite catchy

the badger song -HERE-

enjoy ;)

don't know about depressed, but thin and pretty anyway. they all walk around scowling, but smile when you talk to them.

Ah, the merits of the Slav race. I dated a girl last week, she invited me to come see Moscow next year. And last weekend I saw the girl on russia.ru, a Russian national broadcasting company. Madness. You can find it here, it's the brunette you see regularly.

OMG, listening to both songs at the same time is REALLY bad for your head :p. After leaving them both on for a minute I got a headache! Those songs are evil

I did a simular thing with the badger song but mine was at my dorm room. I left for the weekend and left it playing on a loop full blast in my dormroom with the door locked (it was still very audible out in the hall and in the rooms next door)
i came back to a dorm room with a broken lock for someone had kicked in the door and tyrned my comp off.

another funny one was i came up form the beach to the dairy queen where my friend worked, put $15 in the juke box and chose all of them as the baja mens' "who let the dogs out" i them immedietly left the dairy queen.
My friend Brandon told me it played about 7 times before someone unplugged the juke box
