To expand slightly on my CoB + RHB Corsairs tactic idea found here;

http://www.druchii.net/viewtopic.php?t=61519

Here is the remainder of the list that supports the Corsairs and CoB.

Master, PoIB, AoD, AHW, 2 RHB
CoB, BSB
lv 2 Scroll Caddy
lv 2 Sorc, Seal of Ghrond, ToF

14 Corsairs, FC, 2 RHB on Reaver, BoM - Master here
10 RXB, Sh, Mus - Caddy here
10 RxB, Sh, Mus - 2nd Sorc here
5 DR, RXB, Mus
5 DR, RXB, Mus
5 Harpies
5 Harpies
5 Harpies

6 COK, Standard Bearer, Banner of Cold Blood, Mus
6 Shades, GW's

Hydra
2 RBT

The fluff is a Corsair raiding force. I've accuired an old CoB (the one on wheels) that will be crewed by Corsairs who sacrificeall opposition they encounter while raiding to Khaine for a safe voyage and good spoils in slaves and riches.

Fluff aside I think the list can be improved but I'd appreciate a fresh look on the list from people on D.net! :D

As always, thanks for reading.
Chris

The list looks a bit thin. Nothing you have can really stand up to a solid charge. I briefly read your topic on combining the COB with the corsairs, but I don't see it being a valid tactic. A solid unit of Chaos Knigts would see this off fairly easily and then you would have quite a few incoherent units trying not to get broken. I would consider beefing the unit up some so that it can stick in battle a bit better.

So hows losing 5 harpies and boosting the Corsairs up by another 5?

I agree with you that odds are the tactic I mentioned will be found wanting but I'd still like to play test it to see how it fares.

I would personally lose the rhb altogether and focus on the unit being a close combat unit. A combined charge with corsairs to the front and CoK to the flank would be devastating and you would almost be guaranteed to run down the unit if it broke from combat.

Hmm, fair one......decided to lose the master on foot he wasn't amounting to much, lost the bsb upgrade and made the CoB the general.

So new list is thus;

CoB
lv 2 Scroll Caddy
lv 2 Sorc, Seal of Ghrond, ToF

18 Corsairs, FC, 2 RHB on Reaver, BoM
10 RXB, Sh, Mus
10 RxB, Sh, Mus - 2nd Sorc here
5 DR, RXB, Mus
5 DR, RXB, Mus
5 Harpies
5 Harpies

6 COK, Standard Bearer, Banner of Cold Blood, Mus
5 Shades, GW's
COC
COC

Hydra
2 RBT-caddy here

Corsairs are staying with the RHB's for the time being I like the duel purpose and as I'm new to playing the Stand and Shoot may save me till I learn to play better.

The Corsairs and COC form the centre, the Hydra takes a flank the Knights take the other. Stupidity will be a huge pain but that is reduced in the case of the knights though not eradicated entirely.

Hows this look?

Edit; May change the BoM to the SSS but not sure yet.
