Just wanted to put up some pics of what I've done recently

and this army pic:

Maybe the pics aren't so great? I'm waiting for more day light to take better pics as well as some more close ups.
In the meanwhile any comments or critiques are welcome.
PS: If you open the army pic please take a look at the shade unit: There is one guy with white robes. I'm looking to paint the rest of my scouts with white (muted or un-muted) robes. Is that colour too bright?

Using white for your color sceme is a dared choise. I haven't seen any other druchii army using white cloaks, but I like them a lot!
I think so you did a good paintjob on the corsairs!
Would like to see some close ups of the rest of your army!
Also very nice work on the freehand dude! I really love your banner!
Any wip's how you painted it?

The spearmen are looking great.
Your collour theme is red, blue and white.
Seems a hard mix too do but in your army it's looking ok.
The crossbowsmen are blue but no mix of the red/white.
for example:You could give them shields with red line in it.
Same for the spearmen but then blue shields.
Just I have the feeling that the corsairs are mixed with 3 collours and others have 1 collour.
This is not a bad thing.
Your painting skills are realy great (better then my).

Sorry about the short posts, but I haven't had a break in uni work of late. (hence not much painting has been done either)
DE warrior: I don't have any WIP shots of how it was done, but its based on the lothern sea guard design. Feel free to check out GW website
In the meantime, here is a quick run down.
Paint the banner and highlight appropriately
Draw the shape of the serpent: something like the top 2/3 of an "S" The brush can control the contours of the serpent: when you get to the head, simply draw the brush off to create a snout. The little horns on its head can be done with a dab of the same paint.
I used bleached bone for the serpent, the scales (i know, its pretty hard to tell) on its back are just painted in enchanted blue.
For the wave, just do an appropriately wavy outline at the base of the dragon. Then starting from midnight blue work up to enchanted and beyond (by adding more and more white). The top of the waves should be close to white to represent the foaming sea. The splashes around the serpent can be painted in straight skull white.
I hope this gives you some ideas for a free hand of your own.
Dannyisevil: The army you see is an alliance of a Khainite force (red) which has hired some piratical and not so pure in purpose sea dogs. The metal corsairs are the ones who have devoted themselves to Khaine in the course of their campaign. There will be more "pure" sea dogs coming Gotta love pirates!
