I'm also one of the bods who would be happy with a mini painted in the persons original style.

Also I don't tend to play much so if that person wants to change the mini in any way e.g. non-standard base size, etc. then feel free.

Cheers

Right -- whoever is painting for me does not need to do it in my style since it is a one-off piece after all. But a snow base of some sort would be good ;)

Hey,

Like many others have said, I think a one off peice would be cooler than someone trying to emulate my colour scheme. I am fond of ridiculous colour schemes (pinks and turqoises are great!), so feel free to try something different!!

I prefer rocky bases (just some sand and little stones or a piece of dry brushed cork) and usually paint my capes or robes in any sort of blue... but I think the mini should be a special so the contrary of the normal color sceme would work maybe even better I think

I'll say either works for me. If someone wants to do an elf like mine they can, but an emissary would be sweet as well. Really, it's a gift; I'd never look a gift horse in the mouth. I'm just happy to b in this event

OK, here something from me. Sorry that it took so long but there is not much finished in my DE, my corsairs are ugly and chraras not representative. So I had to paint first something the way I could imagine to paint the rest of them:

This CoK is not really finished either, but there are only some details missing and I'm not sure whether the chain mail parts stay like this. The main colour theme are obviously these icy looking (at least I hope so) parts and the dark green ones. :)

Edit: The base will be somehow grey and stony.

Just a suggestion, if you leave the base blank it will allow the person to do the base in their normal style so it matches with the rest of the army. By all means make the base cool with big rocks or whatever but maybe leave the rest blank.

Not compulsory but probably a good idea..... in my mind atleast :P

Oh, yes, a blank base would match with the rest of my army in any case! :D

Good suggestion, I mean.

In case someone wonders what my army looks like, press the link in my signature.

Main idea:

Dark grey areas: Adeptus battle grey, thoroughly washed with badab black (No highlights! :D)

Blue: Either a flat fenris grey layer, washed with badab black, highlighted with fenris grey, or a mix of chaos black + fenris grey, highlighted up to fenris grey.

Metallics: Chainmail, washed with badab black, highlighted with chainmail

Skin: Dheneb stone, washed with ogryn fleshed, highlighted with dheneb stone, washed with the purple wash thingy (Leviathan purple?)

Leather: Scorched brown, washed badab black, highlighted with scorched brown.

What you guys want to paint for me is entirely up to you. I could use another assassin, or a sorceress, or something in that direction!
Be sure to check out my Army blog.
