Decent. I'm guessing you're Emil? (according to your avatar, custodians :P). Lovely progress so far. Great hydra, looks a bit drybrushy, but the colour choice is really good and the base is great. And since you said it's a "rough" looking WIP, I have no doubt you will make it look more smooth.

Do you use molds for the skulls you did aswel? And where did you make the molds from, and what did you use as anti-stick medium (lubricant?)?

I was taking a break, somewhat. I've been busy at work and spent some more time on other hobbies. I will get back to painting!

But don't feel bad about the hydra, it's great. I don't think people will notice when it's 100% done. You're IMO more of a modeler than a painter anyways, so most of your painting credits will go to the superb conversions with a decent paint job. You won BPA for your custodians, I have no doubt your dark elves will get at least nominated.

And we have the same freehand on the Warrior shields! (I'm kinda bad at freehanding though, so mine are a bit thick)

So I have been lurking this thread for a while to see if you have posted anything new, much to my chagrin no however your work has been very inspiring so I have a few questions.

1.) It appears to me that the spears are plasticard and now I'm wondering what size of drill bit you used to drill the holes.

2.) I am completely inexperienced with the use of green stuff outside of filling gaps in large monsters so my question is for the all important crotch guards ;) is if those were shaped before being put onto the miniature or after? If you, or anyone, could give me a step by step of how it was, or could be, done I would be beyond appreciative.

the skeleton is from the Dryad blister. So no it's not very old.

Mate take your time there's no hurry at all. I have quite a few other things to finish first :P

thats some really nice looking swords (too bad shades want extra hand weapon now :() how did you model them? green stuff all the way? did you let the GS cure and then cut the blades to shape or did you model the blades fully with the GS still soft?
