1. the pendant. when it says "hits are ignored under the strength value" does that mean that those "hits" (not wounds suffered) are ignored BEFORE taking the ward save or does it just mean that the pendant has a ward save of under and equal to the strength of the hit?
2. ITP BG. do they have to test for panic if a friendly unit break within 6" of them or is fleeing? or does ITP make them immune to panic tests?

Pendant gives you a ward save equal to the S value of the attack or less.
