I thought exactly the same.
Queek and Snikch got the poses, that I wanted for Shadowblade...bad, very bad.
But the minis are very cool.
We have a Skaven player here and he was looking like a rat on tooooooooo much Warpstone
But I understand him...if this Shadowblade thing wasn't so annoying...

Eevil is ruling over my existence.
Is he?
I don't know is coming rules, and if I think about the background then Clan Eshin was trained in Cathay and Nippon and the Druchii got their own skills.
It is possible for Snikch of hiding in enemy units?
I can't say the rules are better then from the other, but I can say that the Shadowblade mini is a little boring if I see Snikch...

Well they will most likely redo Shadowblade along with this 'second wave' of Druchii models, so I wouldn't be too upset about the Ratsassin looking better
Oh. My. G...Khaine!
Simply Awesome!
Snikch and Queek are cool although cartoonish. Skweel looks a bit dumb, weird giant rat thingy...
Clanrats, or should I say Clanhamsters? Is it me or some of them look like hamsters? Maybe it's a matter of paint job. Far better though than previous skinny ones, I wonder how will they look in mass? Just imperssion - the variety of outfits and weapons means that they can be divided - equal parts of them can be customised to fit one of clans theme - You take few boxes and have for example full Eshin themed unit.
Stormvermin - hands and pants down. Now they are bad, bad, bad boys. And their halbards... Simply briliant!
Doomwheel - cool! looks like modernised old one and far better than that. It is my favourite!
I'm greatly impressed with new minis, it seems GW is improving, it gives hope for the future DE minis.
Anyway, I'll give my wallet, credit cards, account passwords to my wife, becouse they make me want another army, also the one I used to have soft spot for it in old times.

My first Warhammer army with actual painted models was Skaven, so these pics look very tempting. I always liked Queek, and am glad he is making a come-back. Wonder if they will have rules for Ikit Claw and Lord Skrolk as well.
BTW -- My Skaven days were back in 4th Edition. Although I played in 3rd, at that point my opponent and I just used appropriately-sized cardboard chits instead of actual models ...

Some beautiful models there. That Doomwheel is one of the best minis I've seen GW made. It's just awesome in so many ways and really shows the tech-madness of the Skaven.
I already see myself getting the book, doing lists and then realise I really wont afford to put even more money into warhammer... and that I have 3 other warhammer projects in the making.

Weapon Teams are almost definate to get a plastic kit with the first or later wave of releases, although nothing has been seen yet. Why? There are now FIVE different types of weapon teams, so similarly to the 40k Imperial Guard Weapon Teams it is likely to become a kit that can make any of the variations.
For those who don't know, the weapon teams are now;
Ratling Gun (toned down, needs to roll to hit)
Warpfire Thrower (anyone fully or partially under template is auto-hit)
Warpfire Mortar of some kind
A close combat team that deals massive impact hits
A tunneling device that allows the unit to enter like dwarf miners
And an update with NEW PICS...
Plague Furnace and Screaming Bell,
One kit can make either model for £35
And the detail of the screaming bell & rat ogre, too wide to post directly without extending the page though,

And having looked over threads detailing the contents of the new book, I may have to restart warhammer earlier than I had planned and once more take up the vermintide as an army. Damn, a Clan Mors army definately looks so tempting now, with Queek at the head of a unit of his personal guard, steroid-enduced Stormvermin, and a horde of chittering critters...
Maybe Christmas 09 will bring me rats. Yes-yes.
Urgh so tempted to cast "Cure of the Horned Rat" on my Dark Elves. Just incase no one else has heard of it, it is the Skaven's 13th spell. It is cast on a 25+ and causes 4D6 worth of Models to turn into Clanrats.
