I've seen a few attempts at making a DE guerilla list and thought I'd have a go - am basically basing the idea on how a shade tribe would go to war (without turning it into a Deathstar), also trying to squeeze a few assassins in for good measure!

Tribe Leader:
Master, PoK, SoM, HA, SDC, Shield, DS, RXB, - 162pts

Tribe Leaders Son:
Master, BSB, SoS, HA, Lance, SDC, Shield, DS - 166pts

Tribe Wiseman:
Lv1 Sorcerer, 2 Dispel Scolls, DS - 162pts
Assassin, RStars, Manbane, AHW - 151pts
Assassin, RStars, Manbane, AHW - 151pts

5 DR, RXB, Musician - 117pts (Leader in here)
5 DR, RXB, Musician - 117pts
11 DR, Shields, Herald, Musician - 219pts (BSB in here)
5 Harpies - 55pts
5 Harpies - 55pts
5 Harpies - 55pts

10 Shades, GW - 180pts
10 Shades, GW - 180pts
10 Shades, GW - 180pts

Total: 1950pts

Edited the points cost to correct amount.

It's nice to see someone trying to theme an army on shades without making it silly

Love the idea!

I feel somehow like one assassin should have a cloak of shadows, just to emphasize how he's like a normal assassin, but even shadier ( pardon the pun

).

Hmm, a shady shade!

I like! Squeezing in the Cloak can be done but with only 3 PD is it worth it? I think it could be dispelled to easily...

Shielded DR: can't you make them 15 (including characters)? see my D.R.A.I.C.H. article.
The leader would be better off inside shielded DR rather than unshielded ones. But he can jump from one to another, of course.

Just for the sake of diversity:
Shades could be more diverse: AHW, GW and naked.
DR could be one RXB unit and one naked unit.
Also, the two assasssins may diverge a little bit.

Overall, very nice army list, I'dl like to learn how it behaves.
Outstanding maneuvrability, good shooting, some hitting power, but very fragile and no mass killing.

Thanks for the tip on the D.R.A.I.C.H. article Calisson - was very helpful! Just re-checked my maths on the OP and was 50pt under the total!

Its like finding money you had forgotten about! Anyway re-tweaked the list;

Although caddy will start in the Shielded DR he will peel out before they get into CC....hopefully anyway, because odds are I'll forget to do it.

IMHO I'm going to have to agree with smiler, without any real magic to burn the opponents dispel dice, you would be hard pressed to actually use the cloak successfully. I'd say the points would be better used on something else.

Im afraid if I were making a list to fit shade fluff I would use the wood elf army book.
