help with Heraldry/colour scheme wanted (Pics are up :D )

Sooo after reading the Chronicles of malus darkblade Vol 1 -2 i rly fell in love with the druchii and so i went online and orderd a simple starting force.
one regiment of warriors .some Nauglirs and some corsiars, aswells as a dreadlord on a coldone. planning on getting malus later

now i want malus to be my general, and to have a overall colour match ( apart from the hired blades ^^ ) and it says in the books that malus has his own heraldry.. the sigle of the nauglir, sounds wicked.. only iv neverseen it O_o anyone have any idias? or have seen it ? might be in the DE army book but since i dont have any1 to play with i dident order it ^^
HELP ME PLZ!!!!!

For the robes i was thinking dark dark red since every pic i have seen of malus hes wearing a red cloke. or som other sort of red cloth.

the armor im not sure, i love the purple look that they have in the WAR online book, but its soooo common, like the red edges on black armor aswell..just not sure.. hmm cant remember but did hag greaf have its own colour scheme???

the shields il be freehanding, hopfully malus`s heraldry if i ever find out how the hell it looks!! -_-

oh oh.. and nauglir redding by the leader i was thinking of making albino

althoug i wish i had the old coldones..

red yes deffo go for red. i did albino cold ones and they look fairly good, esp as my sorceress riding it has fire red hair hehe. deffo sounds good. put some pics up when u decide.

Yeah i`v seen those pic`s before and i love the conversion , and i have forgotten about the sigle on the shield !!! soo guess thats the closest il come to malus`s heraldry

Saori_Nightstar : heya , yeah i like red, and i have done a test modle with red, thoug i think il do it a bit darker in the future, still not sure about the armor thoug, black with gloss.. black with higlight.. black with red. black with gold. black with higelight blue.. soo many choices!!! argh.. this is why i love painting orcs :p NO RULES

btw did Hag greaf have its own colour scheme? been leafing throug my book again but havent found anything yet..

I`ve mislaid my 5th and 6th ed. army books, but the one Hag Graef banner in the new book is red and black.

Edit: Hehe! I miss Underholdningsmagneten. I wouldn`t be playing Warhammer my self if it wasn`t for Håvard (the proprietor). Bodø seem to have turned to crap these last five or so years. Everything cool over there gets closed down...

Well it seems im all set when it comes to the colour stuff then:D
exsept the armor itself.. but i did a test modle today alwso testing the new wash *Badab black* looks good over drybrushed boltgun/chainmail, il get up a pic as soon as i find a camera with decent quality... my cell is shiz..

but im not to sure about the basing.. normaly i do sand with dead grass.. and ofc i paint the sand.. but the land of chill.. guessing dead grass and black`ish stones ? and lots of stones... and snow.. damn.. now i gotta order snow... sigh...

The pictures are so dark that it`s hard to really comment on them. The scheme looks good and the rune on the shield is really nice! My first tip is to crop the photos, so you don`t see that they are standing on toilet paper:)

I think the easiest way to post pictures here is to make a free account at photobucket.com. From there you can upload pictures from your computer just as you do on Facebook. When you open a picture in photobucket you get some alternatives in the menu on the left side of the pic. You want to copy the one called "IMG code" (or something like it) and just paste it in your post on this forum.

Edit: The moderators on this forum can be rather strict, so I recommend editing your posts, rather than posting several times in a row...

yeah i think il stick to that scheme for the warriors so im making the 2 first rows of spearmen now,Making sure they Rank up nicely

BTW: Nothing wrong with the toilet paper, if you crop the pictures, so you don`t see the edges. If you compare this:

i like that dwarf.. 1st dwarf i ever painted

had so mutch fun doing the crest and the beard, tho u dont rly see the depth in it on that crap picture..
oh and btw hes a Work in prog.. :p kinda threw everything i was doing aside once i got my DE army in the mail hehe

Well iv been working alot the last few days, so havent made any real prog..
still haven gotten down to painting , but heres a few pics of half the Warriors, they line up nice and i have used the Banner pole as spear for the 1st row of warriors,..

mm.thinking about changeing colour, dont like the Red cloth on the arms, robes are fine, and i wanna test some other ways of doing the armor...

I have a small objection to how you pain that dwarf. Look at your hand, or better yet, look at the hands of some one who work with their hands all day (real manly hands, hehe). Check the nails. Are they white? No, they are flesh colored (at best). Painting them white draws attention to the nails of the model, and the attention belongs to the rest of the model

It looks very nice imo. love the coloring of the hair especially. less stereotypical than usual for a slayer but without resorting to violence (ive seen em with green hair. YUCK!)

well hes not finished, still have to do the tattos, and add a little wash here and there ( also fingernails

) for tattoos im doing the one gotrek has on the cover of the first omib

also have to do his left eye and braclet.. but ther DE comes first right now

aaand im back from my vecation in Kreta:D
soo i got back home unpapacked and made a run for the painting desk ;D

first half of the Warrior regiment is alwmost finished( im a very slow painter..).. il get some pictures as soon as my gf remembers to bring back the F(/¤%/& camera T_T

while painting i cant helpmyself to start making new modles.. or atleast start finding parts

if only i wuld stick to a projekt till it was finished.... id have some amazing stuffs

anyway.. thinking on the executioners.. i dont have the modles...but i want to have Exes.. and in the buttom of my 6th bitbox i found parts to a hige elf archer body (ino buuuuuuh HE`s!!!!) and his robes gave me the idiea to make the Zelots from the Darkblade series, the white robed fantatics that caused sooo mutch havoc in the books wuld be PERFECKT!! soo il get to work on the first one and after getting word of more warhammerheads in the town i live in i hope to trade me some HE archer parts;)

il be making as mutch refferences to the books in my models as possible so if any one have any idias for modles i can make give me a shout!!!
Hauclier will be my corsaiars leader,Nuarc(spelling?)my black guard dude ( tho i have yet to order more modles :p I LIKE planning)

okey! half my warriors are painted other half is sprayed! also made some xbow warriors useing the corsiars handbow in 2handed poses ,looking good!
some CoK are underway aswell.
also made a SB no sure if hes going to be army standard or just a regular SB ^^

and im making a sorceress that i think u guys might like.. its a Vampire count Lahmian modle ( the one with a cat ) field away the back of the head and made hair out of green stuff and a amazing bit i found in my bitbox think it may origin from dark eldar :O where did it come from?! did Khain put it there? who knows... also working on a staff for her, tho not sure how it should look like

Also decided to give my Warhammer fortress gate and tower to the darkelfs

i will get pictures up as soon as i get my god damn camera!
