Hi!
I am at the moment planing on a corsair army where the bases will resemble a shoreline where they just landed for the current raid. And since i haven't found any pictures here i decided to asking.
Is there anything you can use which looks like miniature seaweed? or am i hoping for to much there, And is there any where you can get like really small shells or such?. and finally how do you get that really white look of a nice beach since i don't really think desert yellow does it
any advice would be welcome

At pet shops you can buy really fine sand with pieces of shells in there, for aquariums and such. Would be a good beach look IMO. Drybrush it in a proper light colour, have some pieces of drift wood, maybe even fish, or something else seeish, and you'd be all set
Be sure to check out my Army blog.
That sounds great have to check my local pet store tomorrow then:)... the water part was great. I think i will make it so that the last rank is just about to step out of the water... since it would be difficult to make water up to there knees, and if i cut there legs of at the knee they would probably look to short.

You can actually cut the top off the base (leaving just the sides) and have the model wading below the surface of the base. An example here, though that's for a much larger base than a 20x20mm Corsair bases.
I did something similar a while back with my front rank of corsairs. I used cork rocks and green stuff for the waves.

Looking back though now I'd be more tempted to use some water effects rather than the green stuff.
