How do you make your Sorceress on Dark Steed models?
Just wondering how people here do it. We only have a Sorceress on a Cold One. The first thing which occurred to me is to use glade riders, but then how do you make the model look like a sorceress?
Also, are there any other GW mounted models which could be used? There's a mounted Bret Damsel, but that's he'll of expensive.
I won't use non-GW models BTW.
thanks!

Use a saw to cut a witch elf at the waist, stick her on the glade rider legs. Cut away one of her weapons and give her a staff instead -- or use the witch elf standard bearer and just swap out the khaine symbol for something else on top of the banner pole.
Truly These are the End Times ...

an easier but far more expensive method.
If you buy the Black Dragon model there are 2 possible rider options...Lord or Sorceress.
Since very few people actually use the sorceress on a dragon this model is easily converted to ride on Dark Steed or Dark Pegasus.

Another option:
Sorceress on Cold One model;
-> use body + legs of your choice (i.e. ebay Dragon Sorc legs) = mounted Sorceress
-> Cold one + body of your choice = female cold one character

I don't see a point though. I've used a sorceress on a Dark Steed multiple times, but having her go with Dark Riders takes away their Fast Cavalry rule... and if you go with CoKs you might as well put her on a cold one.

You don't put her in DR or CoK, you run her alone with Focus Familiar so she can stay behind terrain and still cast her evil magic at the enemy with impunity. PoK helps in case the enemy find some way of throwing stuff at her. If you can keep her relatively close to a unit of DR she also gets the 4+ look out sir roll. I quite like this set up as it saves lots of points rather than taking a Pegasus, and with careful maneuvering she should be quite safe.

For me, I took the riders of a old dark rider and a old sorceress and switch mounts. One was modded to be my general, the other rode with the dark riders until I realized 8th ed dosn't have fast cavalry on dark steeds; just the riders. Now she's on a pegasus.

Ditto. Except for the POK.
I quite often use two sorceress on dark steeds, great fun. But the dark Pegasus does give you a toughness boost and wounds too...

Re: How do you make your Sorceress on Dark Steed models?
You can also use the new plastic sorceress and either mount hwe on some glade rider legs or convert her existing legs into a side saddle riding style.
But putting a sorceress on dark steed makes her vulnerable to enemy attack. even with a focus familiar it is very hard to hide from enemy units. you would need to be completely out of line of sight such as behind a building. Then all the enemy needs to do is get a missile unti into the building and then you are toast.
Alternatively you then use a unit of dark riders to baby sit the sorceress which is at least another 85 points for 1 wound of protection.
You could put her on a COK and give her a COK escort but then she will be going into combat or the knights are a waste, then she needs the POK to keep her safeish.
Much safer to keep the sorceress back from the front lines with her spear guard.
So they can be cool models but not really much use in the game.
