Warhammer Fortress

Post by Kurze »

So, a couple of weeks before Xmas I finally bit the bullet and ordered this...

http://www.games-workshop.com/gws/catal ... rod180001a
Also ordered an extra wall section so I can make a decent castle not just a square.

Anyhow, I finally here back from the retailer today and he tells me that GW no longer actually sell it as a complete kit, only the components ( despite it being on the website). GW then tried to tell my retailer it would cost a lot more than I had paid.

Retailer points out that it's not our problem that the GW web store is falsely listing and advertising products.

GW then say they will honor the sale.

WIN!!

Thanks team @ Vagabond in Takapuna, Auckland :D

That's a nice buy indeed! Congratulations, and nice to see that GW steps up to cover their own mistakes ;)

Update:

Despite many promises from GW that it will be sent and arrive in the next shipment, I am still without my fortress. I feel kinda sorry for Allan, the manager at Takapuna Vagabond, each time I call he tells me that GW have promised its on the way then proceeds to apologise to me.

Not your fault mate, you' em been nothing but straight up with me. But GW.........

Finally it has arrived! After a frenzy of activity, and a pile of plastic shavings on the couch which I will in no doubt get in trouble for from the wife, the beast is assembled.

In a fortunate turn of events GW incompetence has worked in my favor and I received an extra section of wall that I did not pay for :)

I shall post some pics later.

Looking nice. I really wish I hadn't dumped my old polystyrene fortress from the 80s.
