Tons of great painting here. I think the Trolls are my favourite, really good contrasts and impressive unit.

Since the Troll Hag is taking longer than I expected (I guess she will be done end of next week) I though I post another of my favourite Imperial Models: Ludwig Schwarzhelm.

My River Troll Hag is finally done. Feels like it took me ages to finish her, but all those little details keep you on your toes ;)
I built her on a larger base than the one FW supplied to actually be able to use her ingame. She can be used as a unit filler in my unit of River Trolls (counts as four Trolls). With the color scheme I tried to stay on the fishy/froggy side, to give a feel her natural habitat is very moist and damp. I painted the chest in a distinctive yellowish-greenish color which isquite visible in natura but isn`t easy to spot on my pictures.

Now I have time for my painting competition Dreadlord ;)

Very cool and unit-filler is a great way to get this non-standard model on the table.

Thanks! :D

Am mostly trying to include my FW models somehow into my army, be it as a unit filler or as a proxy for something else. For example I`m gonna paint my FW Merwyrm as a Pagowyrm which will proxy as a second Kharibdyss if I wanted to play a DE list with two of them. My gaming group and even the tournaments around here don`t mind something like that as long as it fits thematically.

As for the painting challenge, nothing special really, its just a good old mounted Dreadlord, nothing fancy. Am happy however that I finally had a reason to paint a second one :D

Thought I put my painting competition entry into this thread aswell. Was quite fun painting him, but after painting so many black horses recently I looking forward to more colory things in the future ;)

@CultofKhaine
Thanks! I built the blade from one of the new Executioner swords and the standard bearer sword. Its supposed to be a homage to the main character Severian from The Book of the New Sun. He is uses the sword Terminus Est which is also an exectutioners sword. Btw, you know that your competition entry is such a good and well executed centerpiece, I hope you don`t mind it if I nick the idea. I just have to try building something as cool as that :)

@redruben
Thank you very much! The model is the DarkPath Sorceress on Pegasus from Gamezone (about 13 euro). Apart from being a great Pegasus and quite cheap you can easily model a Dark Elf onto its back aswell. I used a spare Cold One Knight for that. The sorceress I put on a spare horse from the new DE chariot kit instead. Here is what she looks like:

I thought I post something I already painted nearly 1.5 years ago because it was my first try building a diorama for skirmishing models. All the trees and the rock are magnetized for easy removal/tournament play to be replaced with other shades. The prisoner is the Empire-Fast-Food-Bit from the Ogre Thundertusk box. The Shade fireing from the manhole is built out of DE Corsair and HE shadow warrior bits ;)

Thank you very much! :D

Btw I already took pictures of my new AoW Dwarf Thunderer unit as I finished painting them this weekend. There are plans for a third Pegasus Rider already aswell (this time a Sorceress tho ;)). But I think I will finish my Nurgle Bile Troll unit first as I already painted three of them and to keep the paint scheme consistent. This or I do another Dark Rider Unit with a special Unit filler. But I first have to work out how I can actually make that one work ;)

Absolutely beautiful work. The peg master is simply awesome, especially with the base and the angle of the pegasus. And the shade diorama is so full of brilliant ideas and flawlessly executed. It's hard to say what I like the most, everything is perfect, so just please continue painting, I look forward to more eyecandy. :)
