Heresy Miniatures. It's also plastered with warnings of "may have to wait for it nearly indefinitely" in case you were thinking of ordering ;)

If you are prepared to wait awhile, and change the bases, then yes. AoW minis are usually very good quality in my experience. On time delivery, not so. Often it is easy to get them from the trade once they are released than from AoW direct.

I feel sorry for the guy. He is obviously a genuinely decent guy and I like his work and that he keeps people up to date with progress. He just seems to have some poor luck and is on his own to deal with all the problems that a company would.

As explained in the last update in mid-August, with all production made and packaged, we found that 4 of the pieces of the Vestals had gone faulty. So we had to redo the masters of these parts, and the respective cavities in the injection molds.

The toolmaker has finally given us September 17 as the date when everything will be cast again and repacked. Then all that material will be sent to our HQ, taking about ten days to arrive. Therefore, we’ll finally be able to start shipping the preorder boxes on the first days of October.

Because, when we detected the defective 4 heads, production was already made in full and packed, it is easier to just add the 4 retooled heads than replacing them.

That's why the preorder boxes will now contain 12 more heads (as each pre-order box is made of three injections). The 4 defective heads, while not as good as we require, are still not that bad, so you’ll probably find use for them (for conversions, enemy miniatures trophy heads, ...)!

We will post a new update to confirm that everything is ready to be sent to our HQ (should be 17 this month).

Thank you very much for your continued patience and understanding.

Basically at this point, I'll believe their latest predictions when I physically see the minis arrive in my mailbox. :)

Hehe yeap.
I cancelled my pre-order and got a refund couple of weeks back. Bit the sour apple and bought 2 boxes of retail witches and then some real nifty looking unit filler models from brother vinni... So now I got aprox 30 witch elf bases, so whatever :P

I don't really "need" more witch elves anyway, I have 35 painted and another 20 primed white. But it was a good deal, and good minis, and I appreciated them sponsoring the painting contest. Also I'm a minis addict. =P

If I ever do get em all done though, I will someday field them all in one battle. Just because I can, and because it will be fun to see the opponent's face. :)

So 85 Witch Elves - I'm thinking two big batches of 30 each, with a cauldron, and then a unit of 15 and a unit of 10. Good times. :)

Still waiting for mine, but I know at least a handful of members of Druchii.net have theirs.

This box will put me at 45 witches + 4 model witch filler so easily a cauldron horde and a couple tire strips.

I received my 20 vestals and concubine today. I can't comment on the minis themselves as I haven't had a chance to get a close enough look at them yet. I had received the email announcing their shipment a little over two weeks ago. I won't mention how many witches this will put me up to including GW 6th edition, GW 8th edition, Raging Heroes Blood Vestals, suffice to say more than I will ever field at one time.
I've been to Middenheim,
I've been to Ulthuan,
I've been to Cathay too,

Had mine a couple of weeks, I'm so unimpressed with the quality I dont think I'll bother spending the time putting them together.

Weak detail, sex-doll faces. Shame.

My order shipped yesterday, so I guess we'll see how long it takes them to get from Spain to the west coast.

Will comment on the minis themselves when they arrive!

So as stated, a few photos of the real life models.
Have to say I am definitely a little disappointed in them to be honest, a hell of a long wait for poor quality sculpting. I am sure I will put them together but not really in a rush.

Actual box they come in is very nice however :)

@Amboadine, Is there a noticeable scale difference between these models and the GW Witch Elves? Is it enough to stand out from the rest of the army?

Not really any noticeable size difference. They should fit in with Witches okay.
