Thanks guys I know they aren't to everyone's taste, I think I've said before that it's purely for nostalgia and I'm with the others in thinking that they still look pretty good.

Cheers.

I managed to finish another batch of warriors tonight but the pictures came out blurry !conf!

The army shot however, turned out slightly better but not great.

Once the warriors are done I'm moving onto cavalry.

Cheers.

Thanks Amboadine.

I'm still in the middle of some cavalry but in the mean time I've just finished a few more Witch Elves, bring the unit size up to 20.

Sorry, this one's a bit blurry..

Unbelievably. For some reason I thought you lived in Canada. I'll shoot you a pm and arrange something.

b@with hatred... : Some very nice units there. I almost prefer those models to the 6 Ed. metal Witch elves, TBH. And speaking of which, who sculpted the 6 Ed. metals anyway....?

Sheer curiosity, is he still with GW?

P.S.: On an OT note, that picture I recognise as being from a film about Genghis Khan, but I forget which one.....

Chris is no longer with GW, he is currently running/sculpting Crocodile games. The pic is from an independent film titled Mongol, it was supposed to have been the first of a trilogy but I've never seen a follow up.

Hi WH,

If you are going to convert the leaning Xbow girl, I found that the standard from the Marauder warrior standard bearer is a perfect fit if you chop off her xbow hand.

You will find that the combination of her lean and the standard makes for a dynamic yet stable piece, as the standard rests against her leg/the base, rather than being raised in the air with the Marauder warrior;

I'm sure you could make up a nice musician using one of the other Witch Elf sculpts as well :)

Thanks TD, that's the one I want to use but am having trouble getting hold of one. Might have to resort to plastic.

Cheers.

Do you mean the one going for £27.

That seller is bonkers! I asked him once why his prices are so high, the reply was that he didn't want them to sell them, just show them off as a collection so he hiked the prices up.

I was speechless.

That is an absolutely insane response, of course he is not just a money grabbing $***!!!

Should suggest if he want to show them off he should start his own PLOG :)

Cheeky!

Old GW stuff comes up regularly on ebay, so I hope you find a non-extortionately priced one!

Dark Elves Cavalry

As promised here's the cavalry (depending on which advert you remember because in some they are labelled as MM71 and others as MM72??? )

The plans are to a unit of 12, converting a couple into a standard bearer and musician.

Cheers.

MM71 are the Cold Ones, MM72 are the Steeds.

& the steeds in particular still hold up pretty well in this day and age! Your paint job really brings them to life 8)

Classic!

I thought that too but I had a look at some old white dwarf issues and ended up confused...

I think they should have just stuck to MM72 for both!

I remember seeing them somewhere as Dommsteeds and Doomdrakes.
