[PLOG] Traitors of Ulthuan

Post by Remydon »

Hi all, first time plog, would love to get some feedback. I wanted to go with a "recently split" theme for my Druchii army, so I went with a high elf blue color scheme. Still trying to decide between snow bases or not, so any thoughts or suggestions are most welcome.

Here is where I've started experimenting with different levels of snow cover:

Particularly like the Pegasus and Lord; that grim red eye is full of menace. The blue/black colour scheme is also pretty threatening.

The only thing I'd take issue with is the name; "Traitors of Ulthuan" sounds more like a High Elf PLOG to me, and even then isn't perhaps specific enough to indicate any one particular force within their ranks... :)

The blue is really nice. :) If you are going for Sundering-era dark elves, maybe it would look good to mix the two ranges and create some half-way conversions? :)

Even without Games Workshop, we will endure. Armies of the Unsupported Age, the models are out there.

Thanks for the feedback! I'll try to come up with a different name, I think you're right, it sounds like an evil HE army more than the newly formed Dark Elves...

Anyway, I've recently been running multiple Pegasus masters and lords in my lists to great success, and the positive feedback I've gotten on the painted model has motivated me to post the other two conversions I've done before I paint them.

Nice work - especially like the one with the corsair head; it has great presence with that wide, brutal looking crown. They're going to a superbly intimidating trio on the battlefield. (I was only kidding about the name before though!).
