Sorceress on Manticore - suggestions needed

Post by Lord hajjij »

Hi all, i have the old 6th edition manticore and I'm not happy with the sorceress rider currently on it.

Does anyone have a suggestion for a rider who will look nice and realistic (read: fit correctly) on the monster's back? Might need to be side saddle. There are a few minis from avatars of war the look like they could be made to fit with some work.

Thanks in advance!

I too would be interested in this!
Having halfheartedly converted the lightly armoured beastmaster to a heavily armored dreadlord doesn’t do the beast justice.

Just to clarify, I'm specifically asking for *sorceress* models to go on the manticore. The model doesn't really accommodate a traditional rider (a model with legs on each side) unless they are leaning forward.

Feel free to post here if you can help Artfact as well!

How about Neferata from the mortarchs kit, or the two vampiresses from the coven throne kit?
They all sit side saddle and are female, Neferata is fairly sorceress looking aswell, they'd obviously need some conversion work, but there plastic, so shouldn't be too difficult depending on how much your willing/comfortable doing :)

How comfortable are you with converting? If you chop the straight leg off a Witch Elf and put a bent leg from another Witch on it (i.e. two bent legs) they make great "mounted" models. Give her a staff (i.e. use the standard bearer are) and you're there...

Awesome suggestions. I'm going to do a bit more research on them all and start scouring eBay for bits. Thank you so much!
