The Dread Host of Talirian (PLOG)

Post by Talirian »

Hello Guys and Gals :)

Been onto this forum now for a while looking for inspiration and I've found some truly inspiring work - both painting, conversion and modelling.
Been into Warhammer (with minor/major breaks) for 20 years now but never shared my own work and I love the Dark Elves so I thought I'd sign up and share some with you fellow Druchii.

Hope you enjoy and sorry for some of the bad pictures.

High score first post :P

It's a good looking army. The pictures don't capture the details so well, unfortunately, but the clean and consistent style certainly make an impressive view.

Thanks again people, nice with such positive feedback - boosting my painting morale.
The pictures are mostly work in progress pictures for my friends :), but now I'll need to get new better pics :D (Not by phone)

Great looking models! I like the Dreadspear conversions, the detail on the Warlocks, and the simple dark palette of the Kharibdys. Does one of the Warlocks in the back row have glowing eyes? Again, great work!

Hello Guys :), Long since I uptaded but here are a a couple of pictures on what I'm working on right now :)

WIP Picture of my Shades - Shadow Warriors converted with Corsair and executioners parts.
Had problems with these guys as I used a new Can of GW spray witch completly cracked up and made a too tick
basecoat so these guys had to take 5x2 hours strong alcohol bath to get rid of the exess paint, had to change some of the shadow warrior helmets for Dark rider helms and replace all of the arms for new ones - though in the end I think
the result is pretty good. as it's still in WIP some parts are not done.

Image

Picture of some of my unit Champs, Executioiner - Dreadshard and the Bloodshade I believe he's called.

Image

Picture of my Excecutioners, Old picture as these guys are now done though I don't have them ranked up now so can't take a new picture.

Nice looking army!
The first time I saw a shade converted from shadow warrior parts I was not so sure but your painting made them great! Also jewel parts on them look very nice.
Looking forward for more updates ;)
