thanks

Screen of corsairs perhaps`? Lore of light?
Re: Sisters of Slaughter how to protect against shooting
Magic:
- Lore of metal (for glittering scales, which gives a +2 scaly skin save, giving them a 4+ armour save)
- Lore of life (for flesh to stone for its +2/+4 toughness, earth blood (if you put the sorceress in the unit) for a 5+ regen save, and regrowth to resurrect any casualties)
- Lore of beasts (for the +1T of the signature spell, which is fairly easy to cast and can be spammed by level 1 sorceress)
- Lore of light (for Pha's protection)
Also worth considering lores with spells that weaken enemy shooting (such as transmutation of lead, which includes a -1 BS debuff of an enemy unit), as well as direct damage spells that can be targeted to damage enemy shooters.
Character inclusions:
- Death hag on cauldron of blood to in the unit to give a 6+ ward save
- Character of some kind with the ironcurse icon (for a 6+ ward save against warmachine weapons)
Others:
- Screener units (shades, harpies, etc)
- Standard of swiftness (to get them into combat quicker)

Re: Sisters of Slaughter how to protect against shooting
An answer I've seen was that in a usual DE army, nearly everything was vulnerable to shooting,
so if the opponent shoots at SoS, he does not shoot at something else.
Note that even in a very reduced size, SoS remain very useful in combined charges.

Re: Sisters of Slaughter how to protect against shooting
this is great input i've been away from DE for a couple of years and I'm trying to build a base list that includes the SoS. I think teamed with WE this could be devastating to any unit in WHF
Re: Sisters of Slaughter how to protect against shooting
Join unit with a Peg character with 1+ reroll armor save and a bloodwrack shrine or cauldron means 2 less shots hitting sisters. Different footprints mean you can allocate 1 hit on each be4 sisters are hit
