Finally a REALLY different colour scheme for the lizzies. I think they look very good, although there isn't much contrast...but that's okay. Why is the Scar-Veteran so "white"?

p.s.
The salamander looks really good!

Very nicely done! I like how you took the color scheme in a whole new direction from what most of us have seen. I have never been fond of the blue lizards that are all over the LM book. That way you did that white makes them look like they were made out of ivory. Very cool.
Do you have a link to your Druchii minis as well?

Wow very nice. Definetley a new colourt scheme and you have done amazing working on the skin tones and highlighting. They comne out looking like a slightly marbled ivory. Definetly cool, original and well painted. Congrats on some great work!

Thanks for the great comments!

Why is the Scar-Veteran so "white"?

My friend wanted it to fit with the albino theme of the rest of the army.

LordSaradain wrote:Just why isnt the slann albino too?

The idea is that this slann found a new way to spawn great fighters, all white and fearsome, he himself remains the same old toad however, hence the different colours on the slann. (his skink protector is still white)

I second everybody: white is a great color choice.
Is it just the pics or did you use dipping?

I used "quickshade" medium from army painter for the finishing touch. I painted it on the models, it gives you more control over where you want the "dip" to go.

Nice dude thats freaking awsome colors sheme.
one thing I personly dislike is the white colors on the terradons its like they are some kind of flying bone creature to me.
but now doubts that you will get some extra points in a tournemant for the painting and overall look.
maybe a sotry behind it for even more extra points.

they would scare the hell out off me, but yeah who wouldn't if there is some kind of dino standing in front of you.

Nice, nice... I saw your army this weekend at Full Tilt VI (for the others, a tournament in the Netherlands ;) ), and I must say, it looked better in real life. I miss the shadows in the pictures a bit..

Could it have been the bases? They weren't finished when I posted these pictures. On saturday evening/night before the tournement I've been adding some jungle plants,... to give a better look to the army.
I'll upload some pictures soon. (I'll also add a picture of the price I won on Full Tilt ;) )

Might have been the bases indeed, they made the army have more contrast, not just only the albino colours (which are fine by me ;) ), but I'd definetaly paint the Slann albino style as well, as others have said as well. Or make him dark red, to 'complete' the colour palette you are using with the brown and beige, and to give him a higher status to the other lizards fluff-wise, as he would be the only non-albino

Nice to see something other than blue or green. I've had an albino priest for about 3 years and the guy who painted it was supposed to be doing an albino unit of TG for me but he disappeared of e-bay with my cash :x

I really don't like the dipped look, however you have pulled it off nicely! And yes, like everyone else has said, finally a new color scheme for the lizards!

Looking very good, very different from the green and blue I usually see and it's also definitely BETTER.

The best Lizzie army I've seen.
