I think the idea of a Dark Elf general sacrificing a unit of slaves to hold up an enemy elite unit like a Shaggoth or a unit of Swordmasters, whilst his Executioners/Cold One Knights position themselves for a flank charge, is very very characterful!!!!! Fun too. I'd like to see slaves as a 0-1 Rare ...

It's good news though. Any new Druchii unit has got to be welcomed - at the very least it shows that they are keeping the Druchii in mind. It also could improve the chances of seeing a re-write of the Druchii army book, since they can tie the new book with some shiny new models....marketing strategi...

I like the idea of a Slanneshi cult army, it's been part of the Druchii fluff since Morathi's been around, which is forever! The Slanneshi influence does need to be strictly controlled, if we're to avoid simply making an army of Chaos Elves (which is emphatically not what the Druchii are). Solution:...

Right then..... Witch Elf Lords - a resounding Yes because the fluff says they exist (they are at the heart of the cult of Khaine - Hellbron etc..) Witch Elf characters are generally a good idea, but should be more expensive than the normal characters due to their special abilities. Khaine units sho...

I still think that the likes of a Greater Demon, or a Giant, or a Dragon, really is too big and tough to be killed by the pain of a pitiful slave......

Might be enough to stun them though.

I think we really need some armour with +1 str or some other item like the armour of the gods. This way we may not suck quite so much any more. Not sure I agree with you there TSO, my view of the Druchii is that they can dish it out, but can't take it. This gives us a str.7 character who doesn't st...

It's the perfect "Noble in Regiment" weapon, particularyl when combined say with a halberd (or even a great weapon). It'd be even more useful if certain unit champions could take it - say the chamions of COK or Balck Guard regiments.

How about simply saying that all opponents must pass a leadership test or lose all their attacks for that turn (as they're overcome by the aura of pain and suffering emanating from the sword)?

Personally, I'd like to see the breath weapon dropped altogether. and replaced with regeneration (to fit with the mythology). This would make the Hydra far more effective as a unit to hold up flanks, or your opponents' elite units. With regeneration it ought to be able to hold its' own against most ...

Frankly I would keep them to the following profile: Core (but do not count towards minimum core choices) M4 Ws2 BS0 W1 A1 I2 Ld3 - 5 points Unit size: 10+ (plus 2 apprentices, 10 points each, use same profile as War Hydra apprentices) Controlled - As long as a beastmaster or apprentice is contained ...

If you check the revision suggestions drawn up by us all at D.net, you'll find lots and lots of nasty magic items - my favourite has got to be the Enchanted Item that cast Soulstealer (the Dark magic Spell) as a bound spell!!! Very nice, especially against horde armies, but no more powerful than the...

Yes I think hit and run would be a very fitting rule for Harpies - or maybe something akin to the Screamers of Tzeentch's Slashing ability. I just have this image of clouds of harpies swooping down from the sky to launch "dive-bombing" attacks on enemy units. It's certainly better than having toughn...

I tried punting whilst at Oxford...and failed miserably! It is bloody hard, particualrly if you're trying to impress a lady (falling in the water is always a big turnoff). Like the rest of the students, I swallowed my pride and hired a rowboat. Take a nice bottle of wine and a picnic, and of the cou...

Good point, I think he ought to suffer one extra wound (in addition to that suffered from the attacks) An alternative statline for the armour might be to force the lord to take a leadership test for every wound taken, if passed, the demon shields the wearer from harm (the wounds are ignored), if fai...

Ok More extreme version of the Armour of Living Death 100 points - Heavy Armour + Rerollable 3+ ward save (reroll only once per turn) BUT, if a 1 is scored for the ward save the character loses a wound with no save possible. Wounds lost this way do not count for Combat Resolution purposes. Perhaps n...

I'm pretty sure Scronk is right about challenges.

Anyway, I think this item really shouldn't cost much more than 25 pts, as it's perfectly feasible that the character may never fight any challenges at all in a game - (esp. if facing lots of mages or flying heroes, or maybe Blood Dragon vampires).

I wouldn't give it to assasins, as the description of these weapons in the Dark Elf army book is quite clear that they are weapons used by the nobility exclusively.

I think that this is the perfect profile for the Ritual Blades - make them a magic weapon for say 25 points - the overkill bonus you could say is due to a "magical effect" (this is particularly vicious set of ritual blades....)

I like having access to the Mark and Lore of Slannesh (it's fluffy and fun), probably access to Greater Demons (perhaps as 3 rare choices) and Demonettes. But a big no-no to giving Druchii units mark of slannesh - large units of Dark Elf spearmen (now uber-cheap) with mark of slannesh is massively o...

I don't think making them count as a magical weapon would be a problem, rather it would simplify the rules for them. They'd just be a magic weapon that would confer killing blow+a stun attack, in challenges.

Nice and simple to use and remember.
