Re: The Old World - Dark Elves Legacy Army List

You can chose to use just the Hand Weapon if armed with another non-magical one. Also character with a lance will also use just the Hand Weapon in subsequent rounds if combat.

Re: Old World Magic System

What are your thoughts on the magic system? I think a lot of people will be disappointed with their investment in Magic very soon. There are hardly any spell one can cast reliably (probability of 85%+) even with a L4 wizard. I have played a couple of games with a L4+L1 HE combo (who are superior ca...

Re: 9th Age v .99 feedback

The rulebook written material is almost done. SE one is to go into the editing stage any day. The B&A is always on the look out for more artists (this week we got a new one) as that part of the work is huge, so that we can produce more material in a given period of time. I am not sure if informa...

Re: 9th Age v .99 feedback

Here are two good explanations from the 9th Age topic to your question toots Nabh isn't my most favourite name either - when I asked our B&A team if it would be possible to change it the following happened: At the start of the discussion I thought that this wouldn't be a big deal - it is only a ...

Let's just say I will be following this topic with interest to gouge what inspires the DE player base. Things that will fit the 9th Age narrative might find their way into the official background.

Cheers

Re: Topic of the Week - 9th Age, does it grab your attention

Sounds good to me, getting rid of our hilariously dysfunctional society is a plus. Those historical roots seem like rich areas for ideas, my own personal feeling is that dark elves embody hunting pack predatory animals. There is an alpha who leads but with signs of weakness or frailty appearing, so...

What would you say about a mix of Sparta meets late Roman Republic with a dash of Nordic and Greek mythology and a sprinkling of grimdarkTM, with everything packed inside a civilisation that would actually be functional. ;)

@Daeron - the Background and Arts team will soon start with teasers and sneak peeks. We were waiting to accumulate a certain volume of work before we start revealing it so that we can provide a steady stream. Our artists are itching to show of what they have done and I can wait the moment to unveil ...
