True. Using the example of the Hag with the Cauldron. The Cauldron is a warmachine and the Hags are the crew. However the Death Hag is a character so I would say she WOULD be able to be sniped unfortunatly. Despite the fact that she's part of the warmachine crew. Dunno... I can see a valid argument ...

Hey mate! I ran an all Khanite list at a tourney a few years ago. I think your idea is solid but IMO if you want to go Khainite then I would take nothing but Khainite warriors. Big blocks of them with no shooting, magic or anything else apart from khainite troops. That would get you points for theme...

Holy moly!!! Man, there's alot of Thorpe hate out there.... I've just finished reading Caledor and overall I've really enjoyed the series I have to say. Apart from that terrrible chapter in Shadow King that's all dances with wolves like (seriously. I was expecting Kevin Costner to make a cameo in th...

Hey all! I've been using the knight bus in pretty much all my games (I usually play 2000 and under). Some times with the back up of the cauldron, sometimes with out. I usually run then with flaming attacks and chuck both my BSB and my general (with the Ring of darkness) in there as well. As I play a...

Hey all! Hmmm... Not to sure about Druchii movies. Haven't really had a look on Youtube for that kind of stuff... However, I did recently watch Underworld: Rise of the Lycans and even though the are vamps I thought that they looked very Druchii like. Not just the costumes the actors wore but things ...

I think there was a thread (or perhaps many) here a while ago that was dedicated to Poisonblade. I'm pretty sure people put forward stats, special rules, magic items and value of the killing machine Urian. If I can find it I'll post the link. As for the battle between Urian and Tyrion. I think they ...

1500 pt Dark elf list for an upcoming tournament.
Hey all! Well after enjoying the Dark Elves in all their awesomeness since their re-release a few years ago I've decided to leave most of my tried, tested and trusted toys/ units at home and try something completely different- ALL CAV! So here's what I'm thinking... CORE 4 units of 5 Dark Riders inc...

@flash29, it does depend on what else is in the unit. However if he's by himself then send Shadowblade in. Of course if he does have choppy characters in the unit this will make things difficult. Assuming you don't roll a 1 you could bide your time with Shadowblade and wait for another unit with a c...

One last thing which lores do you think i should go for? Dark magic is always a good choice. However when I've taken 2 lv 2's I've taken metal and shadow and found that they compliment each other well. They work well together because IMO hex's and buff's are far more nasty that direct damage spells...

Hey mate, Bolties have been some what nerfed a bit in 8th ed seeing st 3 shooting can now take them out alot easier. If it were me I'd take the bolties. It gives you that long range threat and can take out you opponents light cav or other war machine hunters. But as you've said. They only have two w...

Quick analysis: - 9 troops in a raider (instead of 10) allow a haemonculus to join and provide its pain token. Unvaluable. - portals, what for??? for who??? especially if the hamonculus are on foot... - hellions, very fragile when the Baron is not among them. Whoops! Updated. Ok. Keep everything el...

Kabal of the Eternal Tear. Dark Eldar 1500pts
Hey all! After getting in a few games in with the new Dark Eldar with varying success I'm going to try a twin webway portal list. Bear with me... HQ 2 x Haemonculus, each with a webway portal Succubus, Agoniser, Haywire Grenades TROOPS 9 X Wracks in Raider 9 X Wracks in Raider 10 x Wyches, Hekatrix ...

I have to say the change from fantasy to 40K and vice versa is quite an interesting one. I have also noticed that a number of hard core 40k players have either taken up fantasy or have made the complete transition. I think the general consesus is that 7th ed was a far more 'tactical' game that what ...

Personally, I think it's still a little too early to be 'done and dusted' on 8th ed. However, since 8th ed was released there has been (at least fom what I have seen) a severe knee jerk reaction to the supposed point and click style of 8th ed. Now I don't speak for the the whole Australian WHFB frat...

I'm seeing a blue leather bag, a blue cloth dress, a blue sword handle (metal?), and blue rust on the armour. I'm the first to say I'm not a fan of any elf in birthday cake icing blue but that is waaaaaaay over done. It doesn't look cohesive. It looks like you only have one paint pot. Wow, Don't yo...

Actually, it's D6+4 pieces of terrain so it ranges from 5 (just a little less than standard in 7th) to 10 (quite a bit more than standard in 7th. As for terrain screwing over specific army builds... it's an incentive to build balanced armies. Completly agree. This I think is one of the beauties of ...

Hey all! This is an interesting discussion. I can see both sides of the argument here and whilst it has been explained quite clearly by Dyvim and Meteor, I'd have to say that I personally wouldn't try that particualr tactic. It's a nice find I have to admit but IMO I think it's a little um, not dodg...
