Re: Group 28

Careful, wouldn't want to scare it off. I hear Drainials are easily spooked.

Re: Group 28

I've been pondering taking Valin out again over the last few days. The RP community here does seem a little thin on the ground atm.
Site notifications are just so handy aren't they?

Re: Group 28

Hey guys.
Sorry to have disappeared like that on you all. My life hit a bit of a rough patch and I couldn't motivate myself to do a good few things, this included.
Once again, sorry for leaving you guys hanging without a word.

Re: Group 41 - OOC

Consider them aloof of your plans. They are used to relying on each other and are unlikely to jump right into best playmates with you lot. Its only prudent. If they have to kill you some time in the future its better if you don't know their moves.

Re: Group 28

I know, I picked basic words which either wouldn't have changed much or which he might have heard before. Typically when languages diverge certain words drift less then others, usually important ones like Home or Father. Fire, water and fight would probably be fairly close to what they always where....

Re: Group 28 - The Invasion of Ulthuan

The explosion was shocking and the concussive force of it rattled his bones and almost knocked him down. Staring behind him in suprise he could see pieces of the gatehouse pattering down around it while flames leapt into the sky. How in the names of any gods did she manage that? Cananatra wondered t...

Re: Group 41

After delivering his results of the translation the captain stood sweeping his eyes across the deck. Experience let him view the mood of his Corsairs to a fine degree but the mercenaries where a different matter entirely. When Ladry spoke up, almost to command him to teach her he merely smiled but ...

Re: Group 41 - OOC

The captain is quite close to the crew, most have raided with him for decades and a couple for nearly two centuries. Do you guys have more sparring/planning/integrating/spying to do before I move the story on or shall I move on? It is your story after all so as long as you lot are having fun we can...

Re: Group 41 - OOC

Longswords are also double edged with a straight blade, so that isn't a long sword. Does look cool though. I'll get a post up either today or tomorrow. As for sparring, there are a few ways we could go about it. As it isn't actually a competition I would suggest both of you getting together via PM ...

Re: Group 41 - OOC

Starting up a forge or campfire outside combat doesn't need a roll. It's just a starting flame so your char should be able to do it easily enough.

Ok post up.
With regard to linearity, by the time we hit the fourth action/mission it will be more or less non-existent. It'll be hard, and probably quite fun.

Re: Group 41

The battle was over, if the rather poor attempt at resistance by most of the crew could constitute a battle and now it came down to a corsairs favorite part of the job. The looting. Of course, one thing to do before that and that was to put out the fires and damp down any embers. A fire mage was a ...

Re: Group 41 - OOC

Well I was going to just tell you a list of what you found and you could add it to your inventory. I wasn't going to give a mod post about you finding it and then have you guys try to spice up picking up a sword or something. So no need to worry about timeline like that for now.

Re: Group 28 - The Invasion of Ulthuan

Cananatra puffed slightly as he pulled himself, with a lot of help from Syjahel, up over the wall. He was strong, but also wearing a massive amount of armour and it was after all, a wall. And here I was led to believe that most Asur were weak fools. It seems even as fools elves have enough intellect...
