Re: A different kind of tournament...

I don't get the scoring... You say you only get points for units that you kill and objectives and not for your units that survive... That's how victory points work in the rulebook. What am I missing? I had the same thoughts as you Dalamar. After reading the rules pack at the link in the OP I guess ...

Re: SAU 19 Signup & OOC

Well you loyalists are lucky my protector power will be passed on. Poor luck though on my part, it is certainly hard to avoid if you are the first vote called on the first day.

Well have fun :D

Re: SAU 19: On the Brink of Madministration

Taking another bite of his fish and fries Deroth heard Calisson start talking and then heard his name mentioned, listening further his enjoyment of lunch diminished until he felt the need to speak up. Finishing his mouthful Deroth added to the discussion, "Now while I will be the first to agree...

Re: SAU 19: On the Brink of Madministration

Standing in the corner the short elf looked around, blinking at the endless forms and bureaucracy facing them. "Should I be writing this down? Did I miss something? What does it even all mean? I'm just a messenger, I'M SO LOST!". Looking around again his outburst in the corner seemed to ha...

I agree with what the others have said, your list is not that tough but at low point levels dark elves perform quite well while those mentioned are limited by their expensive characters. VC need the magic to compete and ogres are just damn expensive all around and so are Brets. Orcs and Empire are b...

Yea the 5 to 20 limit is for one unit not for the army so you can have as many as you like as long as the units are no bigger than 20.

Though the AOES combo doesn't hold up against killing blow which is the thing he is concerned about. Killing Blow negates regeneration. As for the rest of the stuff been said in this thread I agree, Lifetaker is great and if you are concerned about WW killing blow stick him in a unit so he cant be t...

I have to admit while I saved Draknir I was quite convinced that Dragonsbreath was the guilty party when I was manipulated to vote for Belial. However when Belial was voted off and turned out to be guilty I knew Dragonsbreath was innocent and cast my protection on him and luckily he cast his on me Y...

Waking to the sound of lightning and a howl of pain set his mind on fire, "My life would have cost them dearly, I'm not helpless but it also seems I am not the only one with power here". Herod looked back at Hugo as he spoke, "Indeed we have a 50-50 chance of getting it right and my g...

That is true Vulcan but Meteor is talking about an offensive army so it means you need to move the RxB forward each turn to keep up with your army moving forward for combat. This makes their shooting much less effective so you end up paying a lot more points for a combat block than you need to and y...

Its not always BS 5, it is BS 2 with no modifiers so hitting always hitting on 5's (unless you modify their BS with magic). As for that tactic you would never us it with TK either, paying about 5x the pts for 2 shots than you could pay with archers, you buy chariots for combat and shooting is just a...

I think 2 units at 1000pts is good, redundancy and all that. Most units at 1000pts are not that big so chucking 5 COK at it usually works quite well. I think having more units is often more valuable at these low points than having huge pricey units.
