Looks great. I use the 5th edition blackguard models as executioners as well. I have used them as executioners since 5th edition. Sadly, they don't get a lot of table time these days.

It is one thing to pop into your local store and play against an unpainted army it is quite another to travel to a tournament at considerable expense in funds and time and play an unpainted army. I dislike unpainted armies at tournaments it seems disrespectful to your fellow hobbyists.

It depends to a large extent on your gaming environment. Dragons are frowned on in some places whereas the Manticore is not seen as over the top. There is a significant level of resentment for the unkillable dreadlord on dragon build.

I like the second list much better. I would be tempted to drop one more BG and the Dread knight from the CoKs and instead bump them to 6 models. You get a significantly more durable CoK unit from that switch. The unit can take one or two casualties and still be combat effective.
