Hi there, @Dangerous Beans: My nick is: Pj -> first letters of my name and surname + EOs which is the abrebiation of Elfos Oscuros, Dark Elves in spanish. As for WAAC, it stands for "Win at all costs", meaning "autoplay" lists, no brainers, cheesy, all that stuff. As for the list...

Hi there, I just started playing without Dreadlord after seeing the thread, it served me as the final nudge to start playing with a new list I long ago thought of, meant to be played at around 2.5k. The core of the list would be: Lvl4 Shadow CoB BSB 5x20 Warriors with full command, one of the unit h...

Hi there, Been busy for a time. The tourney is next Saturday, 14 couples so far, lots of bad guys: Daemons, Vampire Counts, WoC and DE make 14 of the 28 armies. I know most of the players, there will be several skilled veterans as well as a few enthusiast rookies coming from different parts of the c...

Oh sorry, I forgot to tell, the alliances are pretty simplified and work as follows: - Each army has its own BSB and General and can't use the allied ones - PD and DD are shared, but not divided (may use them as we wish) - Magic may be used to enhance allied troops - Characters may not join allied u...

Alliance Dark Elves - Lizardmen

Hi there, I'm attending a couples tournament in 2 weeks with a friend of mine who plays lizzies. Armies must be 1500 points each, so games will be 3k vs 3k. I've spent a few minutes trying to remember if lizzies and DE had any special psynergy but I can't remember any. Going through both codex, I've...

Hi there,

Sorry if I'm "resurrecting" a dead thread but...I just read about the kill counter proposed by Kinslayer and...guys why not implementing it in the web? :) That would be awesome, has it even been taking into consideration? Has it been forgotten? Just to know xD

Hi there, I agree with Ichiyo in most of his posts, I liked very much the psot Calisson just mentioned (once I was able to read it lol). I'd like to add a couple of things parallel to what he has already said so far: First, on Steadfast. A player on our main forum said the other day: "I conside...

Hi there, First of all I'd like to share a reflection I think that helps when creating successful MSU lists. Multiple Small Units not only refers to the physical size of the units, but also to the points cost. If you build a list with lots of super costy small units, you're defeating the purpose of ...

Hi there, First of all, sorry for the harsh words. Second, I'd like to remark that, whether the first part of the FaQ covers or not the rest of the FaQ, the answer sets a rule for calculating the unmodified L of a unit and that, from it, it should be easy to deduce what the unmodified L of a model s...

First of all: But of course there is a difference between unmodified L of a unit and unmodified L of a model. The spell does show there is a difference since it targets a model and asks you to take the model's unmodified L. You can't say there's no difference. And now: Q: When taking a Leadership te...

Hi there, Theory on how to use harpies will tell you that they fulfill lots of rolls. Still you won't get any clear clue of how to use them since they can be used a thousand different ways. My piece of advice is: through the game, the time will come that you need something to avoid an enemy charge. ...

Sure, and? That has nothing to do with what we are discussing here. We are talnking about a spell that targets a model. Forget the term unit. The spell (Spirit Leech) targets a model. The unmodified L of the model is used. What is the unmodified L of a model? Reading the FaQ about unmodified L of a ...

Unmodified L = highest L in the unit because it's about a unit that this FaQ speaks.

The FaQ speaks about unmodified L of a unit. Says: take highest L available of the unit.

When we talk about unmodified L of a model, take highest L available in the model.

Hi there, You still fail to see that a Seer and his Bell are separate models. If you kill one of them, the other remains in play, that's because they're 2 different models. If you cast Spirit Leech on the Furnace, for example, you look at it's profile. There, you have L- of the "machine" a...

I thank you all for the information, specially to Calisson. Maybe it's us spaniards that have that particular way of posting hehe.

I think I'll follow Layne's advice.

How to finish a post?

Hi there, I was thinking wether it was right to say "regards" at the end of a post, just as a way of saying "goodbye". I'm not english native, so I don't know which would be the correct expression, I know them in Spanish but was never quite sure about what to say at the end of a ...

Hi there, I can't see why is this discussion taking so long. First of all, the FaQs clearly state that models with L "-" have L0 and automatically fail any Leadership test. This should clarifiy that models with L- are not to be considered "inmune" or not subjected to Leadership i...

Hi there, The vast majority of the lists I've read here on D.net rely on few, big units of infantry or CoK backed up by Hydras plus a few characters. Looks like most players have abandoned the MSU style, can't know why. Here in Spain, the most successful DE lists are MSU, diffuse, whatever it's call...

Hi there, But, with such big units out there these days, what's the point in trying to kill them entirely? Break them and pursue, earn VP. Easy to achieve with Doom and Darkness or charging both warriors (in the corner) and chariots into the unit. Remove Steadfast with your ranks, win by 3, collect ...

Hi there, You don't need a Dragonlord to kill stuff, it's ok with just a horse Dreadlord and 1 or 2 Masters. These can bring all the punch you might need. I disagree that, to win combats and kill big enemy units, you need big units yourself. First of all, I disagree that DE units are more resilient ...

Hi there, I dont agree that more than 3 charcaters at 2500 is a waste. Why? Based on what? Characters fulfill different roles, thus the number of them you include depends solely on the kind of list you want to run. For example, if you want to field lots of infantry backed up by Shadow Lore and CoB, ...
