Re: Is the End Times getting you down?

I've tried to avoid rumours and spoilers, but hubby spewed out some rumours today about the Elves that I am feeling pretty tearful about. It's nuts, I mean it's a campaign, and these are rumours. I guess it just shows how dear Warhammer is to me. I'm panicking a bit! There was mention of the Land of...

Re: Group 38 OOC

I'm carrying on, godmoding Amanthus and Nathra for the time being. If they don't appear by the time this next section is over, I'll offer the spaces to the Character Creation pool. I don't want the group to lose momentum again.

Re: Group 38 - Chapter 3 - Darkness Awaits

Cade's shout urged the group not to pause any longer. His own arrows joined the conversation of projectiles through the narrow passageway. Kailleth snarled his reply, before raising his shield to deflect another arrow. Gilvaad loaded up his blowpipe once more, and with a sharp puff, launched anothe...

Re: ESO : Elder Scroll Online

Pre-ordered the Imperial retail box last week. I'm really excited about this one. If anyone's interested in a Dumner (Dark Elf) guild and is a roleplayer, a group of friends and I will be getting together on the EU megaserver. There will be a website for the guild soon, I'll let you know once it's s...

Re: Group 38 OOC

Yep, no idea what's going on with them. If they don't respond by Tuesday, I'll just post anyway and have to godmode their actions (hate doing that but can't have things slow down to a halt whilst waiting).

Re: Group 38 - Chapter 3 - Darkness Awaits

The stealthy retreat into the passageway was replaced by the sounds of clattering armour, heavy footfalls, and scraping off the narrow rock walls to either side, which echoed thinly down the tunnel. Kailleth took a defensive poise, bracing to block any assailants. There was a whistle, followed by t...

Re: Can playing Dark Elves turn us EVIL?!

An inspiring novel with strong characters can certainly inspire you. When I was giving birth, I was inspired by the line from the Malus Darkblade novels, "In pain there is life... in darkness, eternal strength." It helped me psych up for event. No, baby did not go on to join the Temple of ...

Re: The old Citadel "Foundation" paints

I don't know if it's been a bad batch, but I found that the new base layer paints seemed a bit too thick. They didn't leave a smooth surface, which became more noticeable once the finer detail and drybrushing was done. It may be though that they just don't suit my painting style. I'm experimenting a...

Re: Group 38 - Chapter 3 - Darkness Awaits

Their eyes slowly adjusted to the darkness as they continued into the dark passage. The light of Nathra's orb, and the staff that Amanthus held tightly cast shadows about the group. The sound of the rubble around the Granary entrance being removed grew more distant thanks to the ground they had gai...

Thanks again! I have taken the plunge and invested in Vallejo. I bought my first 24 pots of paint two days ago. I will give them a whirl with my Blood Vestals and see how I get on.

Re: Group 38 - Chapter 3 - Darkness Awaits

Gilvaad quickly took the opportunity to search for something to produce a make-shift torch. Whilst there was splintered wood and blood-soaked cloth aplenty, there was nothing that would do as fuel. He managed to procure himself a small bag of coins, but it was a paltry amount. Still, it made him a ...

Re: Coat D'Arms Paints - Verdict Please

Thanks again for the recommendations. Khaelakh, that is very interesting indeed. I've discovered a hobby shop in the next city to us, and rumour has it that they sell both of these, and Vallejo. My best bet is to go up there and see them in the flesh. I am always wary of buying my materials by mail ...

Re: Coat D'Arms Paints - Verdict Please

Thanks for the advice, feedback, and comments. I'm at a point whereby I'm about to start a couple of armies from scratch, so am looking around for some new paints to invest in. We have a load of the old Citadel paints at home which I adore, but a lot of these are drying out now due to old age, and n...

Re: [PLOG] Malik's Dark Elves

I love your style. That Vampire Counts army is really good. The whole thing has such an atmosphere to it, the trees in particular finish it off perfectly!

Those Wood Elf conversions look terrific too. They make great Shadow Warriors, much nicer than the old official SW minis.

Re: Group 38 - Carnage at the Gate - Space for 2 more, PM me

Chapter 3 - Darkness Awaits As the staff in Venarl's hands discharged a massive blast, there was a flash that blinded all within the granary, followed by a shuddering explosion and a howling through the air. Some had the sense to duck and protect themselves instinctively, others were not so lucky. ...
