Re: DRUCHII.NET AVATARS OF WAR PAINTING COMPETITION

Oh, boy! Which one to choose now? My first choice would be Cultofkhaine's entry due to it's overall awesomeness BUT since he's a moderator I'll try to choose something else. First of all everyone's entries are perfectly painted. You all belong to the Masters category and that's reward by itself. Now...

Re: AVATARS OF WAR PAINTING COMP - NOVICE CATEGORY

Both contestants did very good on their entries but my vote goes to Searinox Nagharha because of the complexity of the miniature.

Re: [PLOG] Jarvax's Painting Log

Thanks for the kind words guys. It's been more than a month and I still haven't finished painting the cauldron cart. Work keeps me occupied full time. I'm really tired these days and don't have the energy to paint. As it seems the rest of the month and maybe the next will be the same. I hope I'll fi...

GW should hire you. Or you could go freelance and create your own minis (a bit cheaper please).

I would give another wash as I like dull colours. Maybe a blue/gray wash or light gray.

Really good. Those modifications were needed indeed and the manticore looks better that way, more muscular. Don't forget the thumb claws.

Re: Khaine Dice & Tullaris Conversion question

Well, I don't have the unconverted champion any more, so I will use the Tullaris model for both roles.

Wait a minute... Do you get to use Tullaris in a unit WITH the normal champion now or was it always that way? I always thought Tullaris was an upgrade for the champion.

I like them all but executioners themed remind me of a Har Ganeth theme army. What colours are you going to use for Ghrond?

Nice dice indeed! Did you buy them or made them yourself?

I have converted the old executioner champion for Tullaris. Corsair head and slightly changed sword:

I like what I see so far. Very nice highlights and blends. The only thing I would change is the hair. Personally I prefer them black.

Re: [PLOG] Jarvax's Painting Log

Lion thanks for the kind words. About the sorceress, you either mean the one from Avatars of War (Dark Elf Sorceress m) or Mae'viir form Guild of Harmony (m). Lady Arkaneth is Ghoul Queen by Reaper. About the cart. Good idea about the rear wheels. Maybe I should add two more in the middle. I don't k...

Re: [PLOG] Lord Drakon of Har Ganeth

This is a very good idea even though I like the new CoB as is. I saw the poledancer mini some years ago and I thought I'll get that mini for a converted CoB. I would have her holding a spear but your idea is even better! I might have to steal it from you. My only criticism is that having her inside ...

Re: The New Book: artistic impressions.

I don't have the new AB yet, so I can't really comment on the artwork but I think that female elves should be more feminine and beautiful than human females. The reason I say this is because lorewise elves were always pictured more delicate and agile and exotic than humans. Delicate as thinner, agil...
