Re: Sorry Aos You have lost me now - Steam Punk Dwarfs WTF
Honestly I think 40k-ification comments about AOS is a bit too much. Yes, it is different from Old World because its a new setting with a different tone but kept some things to tie it together. I get that blowing up the old world stuff is not an ideal for us who liked the Old World so much and has s...

Re: Siilars Plog - RPG miniatures
Hello! I'm mostly a lurker myself and enjoyed this wonderful board's valuable contributions through the years. (a bit ashamed for not being an active contributor actually..) I would love to see more of your D&D conversions and it'd be even more awesome if you tell us some backgrounds of the char...

Re: Cold One pulling Cauldron of Blood.
Hmm I have seen some various conversions , some being pulled by slaves, some cold ones. But not with the new kit, the ones I have seen were made with either old cauldron or built from scratch. I think I had some images I have saved in my old computer, I'll let you know if I find something interestin...

Re: Topic of the Week - Painting Speed
Since I have started I have checked countless pages of guides , tutorials , blogs etc. , watched so many videos, took notes. This has been a routine ritual for me, when I decide on a unit to paint next for example, it takes me days to even settle on one color over another. I check other guides for c...

Great work in short time
I have read many recommendations of this dull coat.
I am using vallejo varnishes (gloss first and then matt, both thinned down a bit ofc) with an airbrush

Re: I'll try your recipe for painting skulls
I have been using two methods, they are very similar though. One is the same as Lord hajjij's except I use Vallejo Off White as final highlight. And second is like Bone white Base Agrax Earthshade Bone white highlight And vallejo off white (I think a few times I have used pallid wych flesh instead o...

As usual, I find myself in awe at Cult's awesome works
Some day I wish to try doing some terrain pieces for myself..but I guess it'll take some time.
Well, one step at a time..

Re: AoS New Terrain - Looks Exciting!
I like that they are doing more terrain and often. Last 3 multiple choice surveys I have seen had a section about terrain, it made me wonder if they were going to go ahead with this or not. So I am hopeful for near future about some interesting Dark Elf terrain. I like this modular fortress idea. I ...

Seeing this made me remember one idea about trying vallejo metal medium for similar effects.
Looking forward for more updates.

Re: Draconians from 1989
These models are that old? Being late in painting miniatures I don't recognise most of the models but I was always curious and meaning to start for years. Whenever I'd went to an another d&d session I would watch from afar people playing warhammer. Even though I appreciate the quality of the new...

Re: Malekith Conversion
Very nice!
I have been hoping GW to release a new Malekith model for long so I could buy and paint. Seems it can be converted very well
I agree on the leg but maybe it could look more natural if he was climbing a hill? You could build a hill on its base up far and adjust to his pose I think.

Re: [PLOG] My first ever army- A beginner's painting log
Soo its been awhile I know, and finally some update time. RL is keeping me away from the hobby but I am doing everything to hold onto it! Believe I am working hard for it! I am lurking boards often nowadays and try to find time to do some occasional painting. Gaming-wise, I did poorly, I couldn't ev...

Re: [AoS PLOG] El's Khorney Inspiration
Cult and Daeron explained pretty well, -A wash greatly improves the look and you could actually stop there. It is possible "soften" the wash a bit by mixing lahmian medium. -But I recommend at least giving a try of another layer after the wash and edge highlighting. Finally, I really like ...
