TOW Faction win rates
Interesting read up on win rates for the Old World: https://woehammer.com/2024/03/25/the-old-world-meta-stats-24th-march-2024/ The amount of data is still limited of course, but so far Dark Elves seem to do fairly average compared to other factions. At games with higher points levels, (2000pts), we ...

Re: First Dark Elves battle ever TOW
I agree on the Cold Ones being strong! I have played two games and so far they anihilated everything they charged, from kroxigors to a huge saurus block and cold one riders. However, in my second game they went stupid, got charged themselves by a necrosphinx and tomb scorpion and lost the fight. It'...

Re: Old World Subforum?
I think they have different influences. I don't know of any events from the real world that match. I'm not really versed in the lore, but I believe the concept of dark elves stems from D&D. Their monsters are clearly inspired by greek mythology though (Hydra, harpies, medusa, manticore, kharibdy...

Re: [PLOG] Bobba Looba’s Dark Elves
They are expensive indeed! I found some assassins from that same era that were cheaper per model... I figured I could use those as extra shades.

It's been a while, but I see the forum is picking up some traction again, with The Old World here. I haven't been on the forum much, but haven't been idle,so I hought I'd post some pics here of my progress so far.

Re: Wildlife of Naggaroth?
In Mordheim a Dark Elves warband can take a Cold One Beasthound as a member. There was no model for it and it is not shown in images, but with the fluff text and its stats, you can pretty much imagine what it could look like.

Re: Is it time to close Druchii.net?
It's true that the forum is pretty much dead. People have moved on to other formats, such as Discord, where the WH Fantasy community is thriving. However, Druchii has it's value for me as a source of tactical information. I often look at the the old threads to see how people used to deal with differ...

Re: Treasure Horde Board Game
Sorry you don't get a lot of attention on this site. It has some very low traffic these days. As far as the game goes, it actually seems pretty neat. As Red says, it looks and feels a lot like HeroQuest, but that is a good thing. It seems like a perfect gift for one or two of my friends. I'd be inte...

Re: Playing against Vampire Counts in 6th
Yup, I figured that out too.. :( the rules are fairly lackluster..., But hey, I'm not turning down a game of Warhammer. My opponent prefers 6th, so I'll just go along. That being said I still like to try and win it. A character who leaps out of a unit was my first idea too. I need something with a s...

Playing against Vampire Counts in 6th
I recently played a small game against Vampire Counts in 6th edition. It was my first game of 6th. I will play another game soon and could use some feedback. His go-to strategy was a necromancer positioned in between two units of zombies. The necromancer then kept summoning new zombies in the two un...

I did cut them loose and glued them with a tiny angle. It works really well and pretty easy to do.

20211118_211903.jpg They are chunky! And they're also a little too wide, so they don't fit next to each other well in a unit. But hey, nobody's perfect. Here is a comparison eith the two newer versions. To the utmost left is one that has been converted to a spearman (not by me, I bought them like t...

It's mostly nostalgia to be honest.

Re: [PLOG] Restoring my Old World Dark Elves
Nice find/ treasure. Those came in boxes of 10 and later 8.
I've got 15 of those myself, and will get some more if I find them. I really like 'em, despite their monopose and spearmen being generally more useful. Probably because those were the basic dark elves when I started.

Hi GeOrc, Nice to see you here. I'm not from the old gang, as I only recently joined the forum. However I had already stumbled upon your blog and was very impressed with what you managed to do with the old figures. I learned a lot studying them and trying to figure out how you got those results. Whe...
