Re: The Oldworld: What we want and what we don'
I am more concerned about continuity that anything else. GW's actions in 2014-2015 has let to the splitting of the community, I hope GW will create movement trays for round base and square base models respectively so that everyone can play with their toys. I also feel that Hasting's rumors (tht GW i...

Re: Is it time to close Druchii.net?
Have tried to start a few topics in the AOS thread. But have not been really successful in that.

Re: Warhammer the Old World
I am looking forward to Warhammer the Old World myself. I managed to buy a few armies after WHFB closed and have done them up over the years. If the Old world get released i will play. I acknowledged that GW may release totally different armies or new minis. That's fine for me, I will just use whate...

Re: Druchii Army returns in AOS
So in order to facilitate discussion, I will start the ball rolling by commenting on my experience with some of the units. I had wanted to give a in depth analysis of the units with different combinations of city states but due to my poor eloquency and given the lack of time to play many games I can...

Druchii Army returns in AOS
This post is more of a public service announcement to those who have not been active in AoS. With the release of Cities of Sigmar, which is a hybrid book of Empire, Dwarves and Elven races, it is now possible to field a pure Druchii force that is largely the same as 8th ed WHFB days. Here are the wa...

Re: Darkling Covens Army Shift from GH19
I am actually waiting for the CoS book as there may be new synergies and repointing. Ever since Daughters of Khaine came out, they are my only dark elves that seen AoS play (with the occasional Darkling coven allies). With the coming CoS book, I hope it is a chance to build a dark elf army again com...

Re: Unit Discussion: Darkling Covens Dark Shards
Personally they are one of my two favourite battleline choice for a GA order Aelven list (the other is Witch Elves). Decent damage output plus that shield rule serves as good front line speed bumps as the relatively short range meant that I often need to put them in the front, with witch elves as a ...

Re: Unit Discussion: The Dreadspears of the Darkling Covenan
Thank you for this post. It has been a long time since we have a tactical discussion. I also feel that they can be team up with darkshards. Either serving as a shield with the darkshards behind or if you dare, put a row of darkshards in the front with dreadspears about 2 inches behind. As the foe ch...

Re: Theories and Ideas we want for the Next Elf Release
Based on what GW communicates via Warhammer community and White Dwarf, I do not expect them to release anymore minis that resembles the old druchii range.
Best we can hope for is a battletome or that Malerion's incoming faction has some resemblance to the old Druchii.

Warhammer Legends Dark Elves
Yes the rules are out
https://www.warhammer-community.com/legends/
Now you can play your dark elf army as a single force with synergies in Age of Sigmar. Drawback is there are no points for match play. But the old compendium forces cannot really compete with the new AoS factions for matched play anyway.

Re: Sympathy for Morathi
Morathi have sex with anything. Even monsters or magical being conjured. That said I am rooting for her. Her story and her fluff have roots traced all the way back to the old Warhammer World. Her faction is the most "Druchii" of the Battletome factions and I doubt any future faction will b...

I tried to create some traffic in these forums but did not meet with much success. I do hope this forum would be a place for evil elves players to discuss on AoS tactics but it seems unlikely now.

Re: New Point Values
Well... my Wanderers army just got screwed. All the wardancers and the shadowdancer I painstakingly converted from witch elves and 40K harlequins have now lost their faction keyword. So they won't benefit from any buffs / allegiance rules and now use up Ally points. Which means I now don't have the...

Re: New Point Values
I feel that the dark elves are greatly strengthened by the GHB17 update. The allegience ability easily allow you to get the crucial +1 to hit in shooting. The upward revision of dreadspears to 100 points meant that it is always better to use Darkshards. Executioners are very strong, able to do 2 mor...

I know it has been a long time but I want to keep the traffic going.
So, it has been 6 months, how's 8th edition coming along for you?
I have been playing AOS mostly. Didn't use dark elves much except some executioners, darkshards and cold one knights for some heavy lifting.

Re: Project: the future pan-elven website
I am still alive! Old time druchii player. I tried to post here once in a while but yeah there are very little to be discussed. I post mostly in TGA community as I play AoS mostly. But that place is mostly swarmed with stormcast related discussions, which is understandable given gw's negilence on th...

Anyone still using Dark Elves in AoS?
Age of Sigmar has been around for about 14 months. Several new factions have surfaced since the game's inception, such as Fyreslayers, Sylvaneth and Bonesplittas. With so many new releases, is anyone still actively playing Dark Elves for matched play, either as a single faction, a grand alliance of ...

Re: Season of War - website online
I agree. It is an ingenious way to collect market data. My question is that since it is clear that most players belong to Order (which isn't surprising as it included 6 old WHFB armies), what is GW going to do next? Beef up the most popular alliance which is Order, or reinforce the least popular all...

Re: Season of War - website online
I wanted to participate in the campaign initially, but it was so one sided that I felt it will be better if I simply play games and not log in anything. Just to spice things up.
I like the idea of painting warscrolls to score points as well.

Re: Pleasure Cults
I was one of the last members of our group to start playing WFB, though I had been interested in it for much longer, I started playing in 6th edition and one of the first things I did was to write up a Druchii army list that was Slaanesh-themed. Then, in 2004 when GW released the official Cult of S...

Re: ETC 2016
I am not an ETC player (though my country send a team every year), but I am relieved that 8th ed will be played. ETC has a great influence in the gaming community in my country (the majority of the players play whatever is being played in ETC), so this recent development meant I can find 8th ed oppo...
