I would take the lance and shield. A chariot is meant to break the enemy on the charge. WIth an additional 3 ws6 str 6 attacks, you are likely to break the enemy, and the combat will be over before you lose the charge bonus.

He is back up again with one wound. Then it is easy to take care of him with an assassin. Sorry, he isn't immune to killing blow....
