Depends on what you mean by it's best days. D.Net has a strong community that isn't diminishing from what I can see, but we have much less to volley for. We are much less likely to get any major changes due to thsi sit due to the massiveness of the latest revision that so many people on this site fe...

m Pic of the pegasus with the legs shaved off. A little hard to see with the rider I've put on there though but I can tell you that it's completely smooth where the legs used to be. I also own a Dremmel and it's damn fantastic when you're modelling miniatures like this. It's a hand held rotary tool....

My conversions include a reasonable amount of green stuff usually and many different parts. I have a dremmel and I use this a lot to cut the metal parts. As for history... mostly no but occasionally I build a conversion based on a history idea I had.

You can also use something like the arm from a horror or any other demon for that matter or perhaps a Minatour's fist or something like that. Gauntlet of power doesn't mean it has to be a physical gauntlet. However if you like the one you've chosen have a look at the lord of Slanesh, it's an easy co...

I always wonder if the Asur boards are full of people saying;

The Druchii get mounted beast without a lord choice or the Druchii get a Hydra or blah blah etc etc why don't we?

pmpn8ez bring up some good points there about Eltharion specifically though.

I see no reason to move it to Tactics, looks like an army list to me. My opinion is that your warriors and corsairs are going to get slaughtered against chaos of any kind. They're useful, but just not hard hitting enough to make a large impact. DRs area great, especially for slowing your opponent do...

Please keep this thread on topic, if you wish to discuss the rules then we have a rules section. As for the eyes after buggering up the eyes on this one I had tried a few more methods (this model is a good 3 years old or there abouts) and the paint it black and put two white dots is the method I hav...

OH yeah the eyes are bloody aweful. They're always the hardest things for me to paint. I tossed up whether to post the close up of the face because of it as it looks a lot better from a distance but it shows the conversion much better.

Mounted Noble with the Lifetaker (pics)

m m m m m This noble is converted (obviously) from the torso of a shade, legs of a dark rider, morathi's pegasus with the legs shaved off, claw from a corsair SDC and a lot of green stuff. My first use of large amounts of green stuff to mould the shade to the dark rider legs, the cloak was tough. I ...

Yeah Drachenfels is about Genevieve Undead, the next in the series is actually called Genevieve Undead and is a series of strange short stories. I think you'll get a much better response in the Tactics thread but I'll leave it here. If it goes off topic it might move it to Tactics though.

As for your question, it's a good one. Maybe you could kick the discussion off by listing some of your own ideas?

I think perhaps this thread is done and gone way off topic. Needless to say, checking the hall of fame and doing a basic search for "Dark Riders" in the tactics forum should have answered your question immediately.

Well from a fluffy point of view I plaint all mine in the same unit the same at least. Unlike the lizardmen the Cold Ones of the Dark Elf army are bred into service and just like any other animal the breeding process is likely to make them look the same. For example, a herd is likely to have the sam...

I never take a sorceress that is purely for defensive. In a Dark Elf army they're just too expensive, especially in a 1000 point battle. We are the best mage killers in the game with the best light cavalry and the best (or close to it) scouts available. If you ask me you're better spending a few mor...

Model store, not GW. I don't like GW's trees and they're very expensive for thees that are so generic. Most of the ones I used to have were from a model train store. Also another way to look at it isn't that your BSBs are nullified but just specifically that you get +1... and so does your opponent thus the "nullification". But unfortunately the other two are correct that you can only get a maximum of +1 CR regardless of how many units are in the batte and/or how...
