Pathetic! Why should I sign up for things I already do myself, if not better? Really, guys. My dreadlord rides a chariot . I used the hydra only in Storm of Magic games from the scrolls of binding. Even the Pendant is rarely accessed (like on a Manti Rider with Sea Dragon Cloak as only armour). And ...

Dreadlord , hv.Armour, SDC, CO Chariot , Whip of agony, Talisman of Endurance, Shield of Ghrond - 322 Pts. M...

Hi. Regarding the priming technique: Some people swear on black priming to have the deep areas already black. Some people swear on white priming for the better brilliance of the colors. Well - you can have both . 1) Prime black. Paint with thinned black the deep areas where the spray left raw metal....

Hi. You got the hint to the wet palette already. Good. Make sure it is WET. Then I'd like to point you to some issues when you go for blending : First thin your colors. having 1:1 pait:water ratio is already thick . Paint in small transparent layers which can cross each other. This smoothes the tran...

If that list can win, I'll be pleasantly shocked! That being said, I'd strip out 55 points and put in a unit of Harpies. Because no Corsairs should ever be without their lucky Harpies! I think the Monster/Cav army of my friend will have Hrpies enough ;-) So effectievely it will be more like 5000Pt....

Hi guy, Some ideas on that topic: 1. Old paints tend to flock. Pigments stick to each other and create flakes. You'll find that with light yellowish paints in the extreme. 2. Shake 'em baby! Really, that might help. When you have access to tiny metal balls you might want to put some into the pot, li...

Hi. That tower is a really good piece of work. Indeed well done. What I like is the idea of two layers of tower wall, composing the unique look of a slender, yet strong build. Even the details like how the door fits in (knocker rings - yay) and the framing two banners. Really well done. For my perso...

Thanks fot that good input. While the fluff is heading towards a deamonic interference, I really appreciate you thoughts. Now here's what he is for now - a bit tuned down. Master Rothgan - The bringer of Death B5 | WS6 | BS6 | S4 | T3 | W3 | I7 | A3 | LD10 Magic: Rothgan is a level 2 sorceror and ma...

Hi. Tanks for your input so far. I believe he needs to have some sort of extra edge (besides the armor). For example, you could attune him better to a certain lore of magic or even make him only be able to choose one, but be much better at it. Perhaps a loremaster of Death? Actually he sas, compared...

Master Rothgan - Male Sorcerer House Rules
Hi guys 'n' gals. In our local community a player did his fluff around an unnoticed Druchii noble beaing a powerful sorceror. He also had in mind using the new Dark Eldar Archon wiht the small burning pyramid in one hand. But that guy wears armor... Here I kickd in and said: "Make your own spac...

I'm using wooden coffee stick to make my bases. It's a great looking base and VERY fast to complete. I'll show picture later on. GREAT idea! I'll try to get some of those. I think it's too small a base for actual Corsair ships.. You're right. However it is not a corsair ship, but rather a Corsairs ...

"Tear of despair" - A Corsair boat
Hi Guys. I'm doig a tarrain piece, featuring a small ship. As basic model for that I will use the new Dark Eldar Reaver (that hovership). I already have some ideas for the conversion, but I'd like to hear some brainstorms from you guys. Ideas: - use spare hydra bits for a sea beast pulling the craft...

Hi, I've no real source other my imagination, so I'd put it to that theme: Lowclass dead guys don't bother anyone. Blood on the streets, dead bodies in the darker back-alleys should be imaginable. Better quarters get cleaned, though, so anonymous mass graves or at least a pile fed to the coldones. N...

Hi. Comments: I'd swap the Armour on the peggyman with a magic weapon. Try not to strike last, so you can face dwarven warmachine crews. The warriors migt be better off with the armour piercing banner, since you have in 8th ed. more attacks (in 7th it was even with warbanner). Other options might be...

Hi, last game was against Skaven. The break point scenario told me to avoid his tarpit slaves of 35+ models deeply ranked and get kills on 35 deep ranked plague monks and clanrats. I had the black horror and soulstealer and it worked quite well until I screwed my own magic phase (not taking all dice...

Hi, I'm testing the Hexbomb in my games right now ( thread ). It's the 6 WE without additions to achieve a good points/gain ratio. I used them as Throwaway troops to do causalities to units I did not want to shoot/laser in early turns, guaranteeing a (often drastically) downsized enemy unit. They ex...

Taking a Master on the chariot became a worse option than it was in the 7th edition. You already named the cannon double hit and the randomizing, compared to the better survivablility of other options. Stepping up, shooting from 2 ranks and not denying rank bonus in the flank is not helping at all. ...

Well, Now we go on how to support the Hexbomb . 1 KB or another attack from the Cauldron. Good if you don't need the buff somewhere else, but hey - it's turn 2 for the bomb to be exploding. 2 A spell, like the mentioned mindrazor or the one reducing the opponents To. Even Swords of rhuin or word of ...
