Yeah, I got the DE noble with helmet when it came out some months ago (probably about a year now that I think of it). No use for a character on foot, but it makes for an awesome Malekith on foot model (for use on display or in his chariot) by replacing one of the hands with a Necron Lord claw bit.
How is the Disciple of Khaine? as it is a kind of priest (semi-warrior and caster) is it reliable in close combat AND in blood powers? It's okay. Really, the DPS side is a secondary feature - more like a handicap that you need to make do with because it powers your heals. Don't pick the DoK thinkin...
@ Ansob. I'm on that sever, I've got a black orc called Ruck, I'll give you a shout at some point. So... we're in the same county and on the same server. Coincidence? I think not. Disciple of Khaine 8, by the way. I doubt you'll want to party up with me that much given your rank, but oh, well.
One tiny tiny thing I miss from the RP point of view isthe lack of emotes. Only a small thing but I really have noticed it. There are quite a few emotes, although I haven't managed to figure out all of them yet (this is something they could and should have lifted verbatim off WoW ). Also, /me is /e...
Still Divine magic is the proccess of calling on a deity to essentialy perform a spell using the priest, filltering the magic through him/her. This is opposed to the magic used by wizerds in that whilst a mage will fashion the spell themself a preist will ask the god to create the spell and then im...
So what makes spite so different from other cold ones (other than the cool looking head?) He's a little smarter then the others (the fact he dosn't suffer stupidity attests to that) but what makes him different from the others? Absolutely no idea. From a mechanics point of view, it's "because ...
Juggernaught. Pretty much unstoppable once he gets going, a helmet to block psychic attacks, physical invulnerability, and strong enough to make the Hulk* look like your grandma. Nuff said. Juggernaut isn't actually stronger than anyone who's seven feet tall, muscle-bound and lifts weights for a li...
Why do so many people take such small units, i.e. 5 strong cavalry regiments, and 10 on foot? Big blocks are so much safer to use, if they get shot less likely to succumb to panic due to numbers, you get +2 on rank bonus, better chance of outnumbering etc. You're new around here, aren't you? Elves ...
Thunder hammers were always meant to be incredibly individualised weapons, anyway - a bit like the "magic" swords of our legends. Technically, so are power swords, but they're still fairly common - thunder hammers are ancient and holy relics.
My therory about how they can survive up in the cold norths is simalar to how mako andGreat White sharks can survive in the freezing waters that make their home. Besides a good sized layer of fat (which doubbles as protective padding) their veins retain and recycal heat. The Veins on the bottom rad...
In either version, they are used for their viscouseness, and not their intelect (which is some where inbetween a rock and a potato, and the rock is still smarter.) Except for Spite, the runt Malus Darkblade rides upon, they are about as smart as a rock (and the Rockis aurguably smarter) That's inco...
Neither of those images work - one is a link that leads to nowhere in particular, and the other is a thumbnail that doesn't lead to a picture. You might want to sort that out.
(I presume it's blessed by a god, someone tell me if I'm wrong, preferably Eldacar) There is no conclusive evidence that it's blessed or not. The Council of Princes claims it is, but for all we know, it might just be a large bonfire, considering how little Warhammer gods intervene in the world (whi...
Lonely Shade wrote:From my perspective and knowledge, elves are similar to humans in many ways and there is no evidence that elves lack anal sphincters and sexual reproduction organs
Despite appearances, Kroot are not a CC unit. They are a skirmishing shooty unit. Their main use is to be infiltrated into woods, where they are virtually invulnerable, protect against infiltrators and harass the enemy with their rifles, hopefully causing him to send a large chunk of his army after ...
The real pain is characters counting against the number of mounted units. Otherwise, 3*DR, 2*CoK, 3*harpies, a block of spears, one or two units of MSU corsairs, a couple of chariots, a hydra, a scroll caddie and a couple of nobles on DR, and you'd be good to go. As it is, the rest still makes for a...
And by tradition, Malekith got rejected by the elven gods and went against tradition by claiming rightfull rulership based on ancestry. Wrong. There was no tradition prior to the election of Bel-Shanaar. Aenarion was the first and, back then, so far, only Phoenix King. The Princes wanted the privil...
Other question: is it possible to mix two poisons on a character, so could an assassin take, for example, both manbane and Black Lotus? No. You can only coat a weapon in a single poison; a pair of hand weapons counts as a single weapon; and you can't poison magic weapons or choose not to use magic ...
Now that I think about it, wouldn't be odd to be in power and not have at least one wife or concubine? Morathie is onething, but I think there had to besomeone who might have sparked malekith's flames for pasion at one point or another for him. Malekith only has one passion - hatred and lust for re...
The dark riders are fine; they just need to be repackaged with new horses.
No, the models that really need a change are the warriors - some of the fugliest models in the whole of WFB. They need non-silly helmets and to do out with the clown shoes.
