Re: Asrai, Ulthuan and Druchii websites

Oh yes my old friend - I'm back Just when you thought it was safe to go back on the forums, I'm here to stir things up all over again Mwhahaha Seriously though, I would welcome anything that improves the activity on this site and ensures its longevity, but I do fear a return to some of the ideologi...

Re: Asrai, Ulthuan and Druchii websites

DP is alive???? Anyways to your concerns Dark Princess, things are not like they used to be. Activity has died across all the forums, everything has mellowed out and there aren't many differences anymore. I'm of the idea that a merger would add to activity especially in some of the less visited area...

Red... wrote:Yup. GW models are increasingly resembling GI Joe dolls these days. Just wait - we should start to see detachable missiles that you can fire by pressing buttons on the side of your models soon.

When you have 40k tanks converted from old Z-bots toys sometimes you actually get to do that in a game ;)

Re: Witchbrew + Fury of Khaine

I guess that it would just be a bit of wishful thinking and trying to guess at what was intended (a futile exercise, I know). Perhaps I was just thinking that the purpose of GW putting that stipulation in the rules was to prevent units from gaining 3 attacks. It just seems like this is one of those ...

Witchbrew + Fury of Khaine

So as I'm looking at this, I'm seeing it two different ways and I'm not sure how I should interpret it. The first way, and probably the view that is most commonly held, is that Fury of Khaine from the Cauldron is not compatible with Witchbrew in any sense. If you receive frenzy from one, you can rec...

Re: My Retirement

Thanks to all for your wishes. I plan on selling off some of my armies, I have 4 Fantasy and 3 40 and some friends who are looking to buy. However, I'll always be holding onto those dark elves for that rainy day and I mat yet get a game in this year. A little more info, almost since I've joined I've...

My Retirement

Well, I think that's this has been a long time coming, but I'll make it official and announce my retirement from this site. My life has taken me away from Warhammer and I just no longer have time to play games or get on the website, heck I haven't even seen the newest Dark Elf army book. A lot of yo...

Since the 9th mentions no specific rights, you could choose to apply it to all of them. Or none of them ;)

To add a little bit of laughs to the conversation check this out . Forewarning, its vulgar. Also, they're obviously a bit biased, but still raises some points. Probably the quote I enjoyed the most from it "If you deny a person the means of self-defense, you deny a person the right of self-defe...

Perhaps this will sound overly emotionless, but I wish that list had stated what guns were used in each crime. I see a lot of hate on semiautomatic weapons, when they are used almost the least of all guns in shooting crimes. And while some of those were surely done with them, many were completely ca...

Thanks, I don't take it personally, though I won't say I don't have any emotion behind it, I do own several guns and use them on a regular basis, both to hunt and for recreational shooting. I know it's not the same at all, but I feel as strongly about it as if someone were arguing to take away your ...

Because you are talking about peace keeping actions or war. Which is a very different situation than talking about permanent gun control laws in the country. When every day citizens are shot at as much as US soldiers were in Iraq, then that will be a relevant conversation. EDIT: But I apologize, I d...

@Red: Irrelevant to this conversation. @Rork: That poses significant legal issues in and of itself. We're talking about taking things that cost, in some cases, thousands of dollars from a person. I've never studied the constitution in a legal sense, other than in history classes, so I don't know if ...

But as Rork said, the gun culture in the UK has always been significantly different than the one in the US, you've always had lower amounts of firearms, the way your government works also has contributed to a more unified approach, compared to every state in the US having a different set of laws. I ...

The alcohol/tobacco point wasn't to say we should focus on those rather than guns because they kill more people, but more to say that saying you only want to get rid of guns to save lives is a bit of trying to get morality on your side to make the other side look like they want the opposite point (i...

I discussed this at some length with Rork in the chat and I will say that its not about being selfish in wanting to keep my firearms, its about a cultural standpoint and a way of life more or less. If this argument was strictly about saving lives, all of you would be be advocating the banning of all...

I'll start by saying that it would be extremely difficult on the verge of impossible to create a law that would suppress the sale of semiautomatic weapons in the United States today. The first reason would be the uproar it would cause among the citizens. There is a fast growing sport of gun competit...

To put forth an American perspective on the 2nd amendment; I can say that it is certainly a cultural thing, much like most Americans don't understand the fanaticism in Europe about soccer (fine, football), most Europeans don't understand the relationship between Americans and guns. Now I was raised ...

Yeah, it will be painted to go with the rest of my army. When you look at it without weapons and unpainted, its tough to see that it is distinctly dark eldar. The paint job/ weapons are really what makes it that way.

Using a Razorwing as a Nightwing.

With the onset of 6th edition 40k rules and the addition of flyers, I have decided that I want some Nightwings for my Eldar army. However, I am not paying the arm and leg for the FW model, nor do I want to wait the 7 years (a conservative guess) til GW decides to produce them for the Eldar army. Wha...

We always play closed lists in my group of friends. However, sometimes my friends think that means they don't have to explain rules or let me see their army book. It does cause arguments sometimes.
