Re: Kings of War
One of the most interesting things about the twilight kin is the potential for a return of the cult of slaanesh. With lower abyssals and mounted lower abyssals we can finally make legal cult lists

Re: Kings of War
Sliding off topic, but warhammer CE and Warhammer 8.5 are the best '9th ed' rules I've seen so far. I spotted the Swedes rules, but haven't looked at them yet. (not a member of TWF, but might be solid additions to the thread) I'm not sure how KoW will do with the tournament scene from WHFB - Its a c...

Re: AoW Warthrone
Well abyssal dwarfs just appeared for download too, so it could be that they're aiming to cover all your models, they just haven't release all the rules yet. Its also interesting that there are now more rules in English than Spanish...

Re: AoW Warthrone
I don't know if I just missed them before, but 'Legions of the Apocalypse' and 'Vampire Counts' have just appeared... Looks like they're expanding to mop up what GW are leaving behind...
Its interesting that Vamps are a straight up copy of Warhammer...

Re: Recognition to Rick Priestley
Interesting post - I'll have a look into GoA. However, the success or failure of AoS doesn't mean anything to Warhammer - they're two different types of game. AoS is a skirmish game, and Warhammer is a large ranked game. Warhammer has had its problems for a long time, and there are lots of great ski...

Re: Kings of War
Also good to see an old timer checking in After probably 5 years or so of no gaming what so ever I got inspired to convert a 40k CSM army... Still haven't played a 40k game though... But played a mordhiem campaign recently which made me remember how fun it was! and then AoS came along, which, natur...

Re: Kings of War
The new rules are here, but more importantly, you can see the current beta state of all the armies here, including the rules for the twilight kin.

Everything looks good in my opinion, but nothing looks great. The plastic models don't look very well sculpted when you look at unpainted builds of them which worries me. As for the rules/idea/campaign - The two things i love about fantasy, Beasts and Magic all rolled in to loveliness. Problem is, G...

perhaps don't bother with Berzerkers and just use lesser daemons instead. Get an icon on each of your CSM units and then two or more units of LD. That way they lie 'safely' in the warp until they are needed, and you don't need to worry about transports, and you can keep with the slaanesh theme. With...

I wouldn't say that they have lost appeal at all. Yes, magic might be a bit tougher, but its a pretty strong law, and has its normal undead character to it. Yes other armies might be able to march normally, but look at the massive point reductions since the last book. skeletons (if i remember correc...

my 40k knowledge is lacking, but hears my $0.02. Rumours i hear say eldar will be redone within the next year, and they are one of the older books, with some people mentioning that they are underpowered compared to most of the newer armies. I'm not so sure about this, but don't play enough to stab a...

as much as i would like to see cheap assassins, they are not one shot wonders - thats just how they play. Typically assassins don't die, they are excellent at their job and they stay alive. It would be nice to see rules that reflect this and a points cost that makes them appear in lists. Now back to...

they could quite easily be sprung, so underside would work - some form of ratchet to feed them.. after all they were designed by the dwarfs. i'm pretty sure they could get round that. And that would solve the sighting problem. However, i agree the model looks better with it on top... but i just thin...

I just spotted something reading the transport rules, And being open topped greatly improves assaulting ability of the transported unit. So i've removed the ard case from the battle wagon, and added some riggers to the wagon and trukks... Do you think this is a good idea? It means that there's less ...
