My advice would be skipping the venom sword next time.

My first DE model was a box of spearmens. After them the money began to disappear .

I think they would get a rule to hit back one last time before they die. This represent when they are slashed by a sword.They don't feel anything and thus will hit back before they die.

My favorite combo is additional hw/manbane+rune of Khaine. 5 attacks that almost always hit and wounds on 3+

My personal favorite is wand of the Kharaidon. I almost always use it

Try to win the combat resolution and not the combat. You do this with DR in the flank or rear and infantery in front of them.
