Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

I'm still basecoating my shades at the moment. This is the last week of my college classes so I've been busy with papers. Starting this weekend I'll be able to buckle down on the important stuff ;)

Re: Season of War - website online

I agree with your point about bringing aspects of the hobby together. Being able to contribute by painting up units is a nice touch, and after seeing that I have an independent store in the area that is involved I might consider taking whatever I paint this month down there for credit, even if I per...

Re: Season of War - website online

While I liked the old method of logging games from anywhere instead of being limited to a local store, I love the fact that they are at least doing campaigns again. The Nemesis Crown campaign is why I got into WHFB and Dark Elves to begin with.

It's a great game and you can make warbands out of models you already have. I have a Dark Elf Sigilist warband and a Beastmen Witch warband that I regularly play with.

Re: VC Spirit Hosts for Frostgrave

Nice! I know what you mean about the contact points; it seems like GW tries to challenge itself with how minimal of contact points it can make...

I'm loving some Frostgrave though, glad to see another player on here!

That kharibdyss looks great! That scheme fits it really well! The bases look really good as well.
The dryad centaurs look really cool, I'm looking forward to seeing them painted up.

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

@Shadowspite - Thanks for the feedback! I tried to hit up the backs of some of the fangs but I think they are so small the effect gets lost quick. That's a good call on painting the main mouth. I haven't sealed it yet because of the weather so I have time to think it over. I'll keep you posted I thi...

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

Nice mini's Malys - I would bloody the K beast up! The colours on the K beast look great, the colour scheme fits well with the rest of the army. The yellow, brown on the fins looks good. The fur on the giant came out good as well! What are you working on next month? Thanks! If we are going with the...

Dark Shards for May. http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm135/bames5/Dark20Shards.jpg Now for June, here is my Kharibdyss. This was actually the second monster I painted this month. The model kind of intimidated me anyway and I knew that I wanted to use it as the first project for my airbrush so tha...

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

First things first, here are my Dark Shards for May. I had them painted in time but didn't have access to my basing materials. http://i295.photobucket.com/albums/mm135/bames5/Dark20Shards.jpg Paint recipe is the same as other models in my army. Now for June, here is my Kharibdyss. This was actually ...

What about a kit bash month - paint some models that have been converted from bits/other suppliers?

My kharibdyss is getting based at the moment so It'll be up this week as well as my May goal...

Re: Raging Heroes Kickstarter is open! Caution NSFW

Now that GW has abandoned me, I have turned my eyes wide for other creative makers of figures to give my money to. There are many folks out there that are making really neat stuff. I recently bought some stuff from Mierce for my Beastmen, such as a shaman and the Ox-Gore. I also bought a Wild Boar ...

Re: The possible future of Twilight Kin (dark elves) in KOW

Love the news.. I'm very curious about KoW. But I confess I still haven't found any players around me Same here. I'm trying to get some people into it. Hopefully I can get a trial game in this weekend. I already have a Beastmen army I'm converting over to a Herd list and I've very curious to see wh...
