Well tonight I played a list similar to the one above against dwarves and almost tabled him. Seeing as I was playing against dwarves I decided magic didn't need to be anything big in my list so I took: Master, Dagger of Hotek, Beastmaster's Scourge, Heavy Armor, Sea Dragon Cloak 10 Repeater Crossbow...

I would probably do one with the dagger and scroll and and another with the Darkstar cloak and scroll. I would imagine that the Tome of Furion is also a nice choice giving your army another chance for a spell you may have wanted but not been able to roll.

This really is a brilliant model, I love the manticore, the GW one is just awful in my opinion. I wonder though, do the people at theblackdragon make their own plastic casts of metal GW models? I generally give my archers shields to deal with any off shooting/magic that that may be thrown at them. I also take a COB in my list so they act as a shield wall for that should something decide it wants to get around my flanks and attack it. I suppose another reason that I like giving them shields...

IIRC it was in the same article as some shades that had the same black and white checker pattern on their leggings...

Much like Brokenstone said, I would suggest finding the points to make that two units of 5 shades and then I would equip your Assassins with Manbane and Rending stars, with this setup they will do some serious damage to pretty much anything, especially War machines and characters they catch alone.

Thank you for your input. I was considering dropping the units of crossbows down to about 12 anyway. I wasn't even thinking about the Khainite rule when I wrote the list and I thank you much for pointing that out. I suppose I will have to change the list to include a hag BSB with Manbane and the RoK.
