Awesome! I must get one, then!

Re: Raging Heroes Kickstarter is open!

Yes, oh yes, please! I can't wait to get my hands on these models. I wonder if the mounted Kashala model can be separate from the mantichore? I can so picture her on a dragon... or any other monster, really. Plantagenet: We have already suggested this with Marchosias, I think some negotiation is goi...

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

Nice model Rowena - where did it come from? The model is from Darksword, it's the male knight with either sword or axe . The sword wasn't big enough for him to fit between out Incubi-based executioners and the axe just didn't fit well enough for my taste, so I ended up using a weapon from the new w...

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

I have finally managed to put the champion together. I hate thick metal bases! http://i1211.photobucket.com/albums/cc432/Rowenasmadness/Dark%20Elves%20WIP/IMG_0066_zpsigseylln.jpg Now I just have to hope I manage to find enough time to paint him, finishing even one model during the month would feel ...

I have finally decided which weapon I want to give the great weapon hero/executioner champion I have on my table half-converted. Great excuse to finally get some paint on him. :)

Re: NEW YEAR PAINTING CHALLENGE

More activity sounds great. I've been struglling with some issues (and had to retire from the 9th Age website for that reason), but I would love some motivation to get some work done on the army, we always need more toys to play with. Secret Santa thing sounds great, maybe after the current challeng...

Re: Raging Heroes Kickstarter is open!

I am normally not too impressed by cavalry models, I think it's just easier for models on foot to have unique character, plus their face is usually clearer because of the size. But I seriously love these, Varanith the most, I think, but they all look awesome. I hope the stingray riders will be avail...

Re: Recommendations for mounted sorceress.

I have seen the newish plastic sorceress with glader rider legs, it looked quite good and would have the advantage of not having to cut metal, as the plastic model is already multipart. (I hate cutting metal) Or maybe look at other ranges as well? Gamezone does a pegasus sorceress, it should be poss...

Re: Dark Elf Corsair Ship

Yes, cutting the base close to the hull is what I meant, just so it has no visible shape around it.
I quite like the idea with the tiny white wash, I would just prefer it to blend seamlessly with whatever surface you put it on. The tentacles sound sweet. :)

Re: Dark Elf Corsair Ship

I would agree with Direweasel and keep it as a free standing piece, then it could be put anywhere and look seamless.
Anyway, the ship is absolutely gorgeous, I can't wait to see it finished. Every day you're making me wish I had the time and skills for something like this, it's really amazing.

Re: Building armies without GW

Empire is done and all the armies are now finished. Whew! I have plans for the future of the blog, adding prices of the models for people with limited budget, maybe something like spoiler tags to make orientation easier if I can learn how to do it on Blogger and so on, but the main work is done and ...

Ming: Thanks! And I'm glad the Mirliton range is useful to someone. I included it mainly out of desperation, but then again, I'm too new to Warhammer to care much for the old models. :)

Anyway, Chaos Dwarfs finished, only Empire left to go. Are you excited? Because I sure am! :)

The list is growing nicely, definitely a huge plus for everyone. However, I couldn't find the high elf link (wanted to throw darts at my monitor and all) from your link in the OP http://unsupported-armies.blogspot.cz/ but it seems to be here: http://unsupported-armies.blogspot.cz/2015/09/high-elves...

You can also get some fur cloaks as conversion bits here: http://www.spellcrow.com/furrywolves-cloaks-p-255.html (or just get one from HE White Lion box?)
Anyway, those are some lovely models to choose from. :)

Re: Building armies without GW

I have actually found some steam tank alternatives. Chaos Dwarves will be a problem because they seem to have great many similar machines, but I've decided to keep them for last, as they will probably be more complicated than the rest.

Dark Elves done, the rest of the elven armies about halfway done. And then only Empire and Chaos Dwarfs remaining until all the armies are finished. :)
