Re: SAU 19 Signup & OOC

And the game is afoot! This thread is now used for general information. If you have questions about the rules of the game, post them up here, or send me a private message; you wouldn't want to accidentally give away your identity. If you haven't received a message from me, this means you are an 'or...

SAU 19: On the Brink of Madministration

The administration tower was a tall, beautiful, and outwardly functional building. At this time in the morning, its figure cast a long shadow over the road, metaphorically pressing its importance in and on society. Any advanced society required management, and this was the center of management. Year...

*looks at SleekDD's post, then location* Comrade. Nine people means I'll work up an opening post to kick off the game. The signup will remain open until the game has started. The story we are about to present may shock sensitive readers. If you have an inner child, we recommend you have it leave the...

Re: SAU 19 Signup: On the Brink of Madministration

Hmm... I suppose we could run a game with only eight players, but it's going to be a rather short one. I feel a game should have at least two infiltrators, because the game could otherwise end in a single day, and because finding a lone wolf is amazingly difficult. But two infiltrators immediately p...

Re: Mark all posts as read

Only on the subforum level, though? I recall setting them across the entire D.net board.

Maybe I'll try finagling with the URL, see what it does.

Edit: fiddling with the "f" query parameter tells me "forum not found." Aw.

Mark all posts as read

I've been able to find how to view posts I haven't read yet, but I can't find how to mark all of them as read, as in: I checked the ones I'm interested in, now I'd like to clear the board for the next visit.

Am I being myopic or is the option missing?

Re: SAU 19 Signup: On the Brink of Madministration

Ooh, that's five people already. Looking at the member list is bringing back fond, fond memories. Memories of jetpacks, catacombs, hand grenades, murderous elevators, ADD dinosaurs, and lunch box races.

A fellow could have a good time in Vegas with just those memories.

Calisson wrote:In which universe is it suppose to happen? In Nagg, or on Earth?

Naggaroth is a backdrop, really. As in, yeah, there are elves and sorceresses and stuff, and the king is Malekith, and Nauglir love frog legs and chicken, and dragons have hay fever.

SAU 19 Signup & OOC

Hail and hello, fellow underlings! Two years? Has it been this long? It has been this long! To celebrate Druchii.net's shiny new software, I'm reviving our long-standing tradition of intrigue and rhetoric, of unlikely and spectacular demises, of pink lightning and burning Torches for heresy: the SA...

Holy forum migration, Batman!

So there I was, thinking, it's been a while since I hopped onto Druchii.net. And then I see this. Suh-weet!

Thanks for all your effort, guys. Feels smooth and slick.

“Elevation, thirty-two. Hold... hold... fire!” At the captain’s mark, a wealth of noise sprung up: the release of the ratchets, the twang of the tensed slings, the soar of the large, flaming bolts as they launched from the Reapers and arched high into the air, majestically, until they ominously curv...

(I finally did it. I hit the single post character limit. The server gave me this stern, defeated look that says: "Happy now, vandal? Hooligan!" So I was considerate, and decided to split the story over two posts.) It was much colder in Lahnia’s chambers than in Santhil’s. It had seen lit...

The only thing I can think of that is loosely related is an old SAU which Tarbo did, it involved Druchii/40k crossover. I think it was called Black Ark Down but there have been so many of them I might be wrong. You, sir, win the Impressive Memory Award, going back to no later than 2007: SAU 12: Bla...

Is there any chance BL could hire you, so I could for once read fiction, in which druchii are not dump as ogres? I wouldn't want to be the guy/gal who has to decide what category my writing fits into. I'm still hoping to see Malekith and Morathi in this story. Well mainly Malekith. ^.^ They will pl...

Glad to see people find the story entertaining. I do indeed have a lot of fun writing it, but I also invest much of my spare time into it (thinking or writing), and hearing that others enjoy it makes it easier on me. I can just picture Vardannoz the next morning: "ATTA-AACK!" "Not so ...

Thou shalt care about the law on D.net. And the RPG character creation rules.

And perhaps a teensy weeny bit of modesty and humility. ;)

What Gav says is, I believe, true. It also seems to be the opinion of most everyone who pitched into the topic, including yours truly. However, this doesn't mean that you are bound by it: only that you will be going against the grain. If you must take creative licence to write your piece, then I fee...

What Syjahel advises is what I did, hanging around at a (long since discontinued) writers forum. I had trouble with some things, a lot of things, mainly descriptions other than "room about four by five, looks pretty," and people were very kind and helpful to me. It's a little scary just go...

Related to that question, and following in Drainial's reasoning: what is a god in the Warhammer World? Is any sufficiently powerful being assumed to be a deity, or does it have requirements, like lack of a mortal coil, and power through worship?
