Tank shocking transports (40K)

Can Troops disembark on the turn a transports has tank shocked? I assume so cause you can still shoot if you haven't moved to far. If you tank shock a unit and it falls back, can you then assault it in the same turn, forcing it to make a test to regroup? Finally what happens to units who can't move ...

Kinda, the musician allows them to reform and shoot i believe, so although they've lost some bonus from it they've gained others.

I'll start by saying my 8th ed experience is limited. But, in a 3k game, and with a large unit of corsairs like that i would be tempted with a cauldron. Also, a battle standard bearer wouldn't go a miss... you could have both together or put the BSB in with a 10ish strong cold one unit - that'll sor...

sounds good! and you'll never guess how much a bike is (which is a little high for a bike)! I was thinking that on a bike a single mek can get across the battle field easy, hiding behind each vehicle to then be able to repair it in the shooting phase. I'll make those changes to the list and then thi...

What do you think about deffkoptas? With only two attacks each buzzsaws don't really seem worth it with S6... A long time ago i saw a great conversion for them, which involved a jet engine and a seat - that was pretty much it - summed up orcs nicely. While i would like to field a similar army to the...

Well i herd the important part - its fun! I was looking at a way to keep the 5 battle wagons in 1500 pts, and try to make it a little more competitive, but its challenging... I have noticed that if you don't manage first turn its a little tougher, but if you do, then mobs, vehicles, and plasma don't...

Orcs: Deff rolla and meganobz spam flavoured cheese

Hi guys, Been looking at orcs recently and spotted a lovely cheese hole. Currently I play Eldar, and am a bit out of practice, but this is a hole new kettle of fish, so just toying with the idea of an orc army. Anyway, 1500pts list, 5 units of 3 meganobz, 5 battle wagons with deff rollas to transpor...

wow. they've done a good job ruining those horrors. The seekers aren't that bad although the old ones did look better (i.e. the seekers without scales on the mount, that appeared briefly for storm of chaos?). Don't like the prince, but i don't play demons so guess it doesn't matter!

Third: the price. Oh god the price. I was comparing Macbooks to Dell a few days ago and barring graphics cards the Dells tend to work out at about 30% of the price for the same specs. Have you actually worked this out? I haven't, but i have read several reviews on places like tomshardware and arste...

the only helpful thing i have to say is get the 3 year warranty. Unfortunately its more than likely it will have paid for itself after the first year, Mine has, and a mate with a pro has had repair costs of more than his mac is worth all covered. That is why my next desktop is going to be a hackinto...

Unlikely to be a new book, for fantasy at least, as its out of order and GW would risk a lot of negative backlash if it released an 8th ed Daemons book while we are still struggling along with 6th ed books for tomb kings, dwarves, woodies and brets. When has that ever bothered GW? I never understan...

Incoming! Daemons... wtf?

[not quite sure where to put this because its both 40k and warhammer, but since this board is less used its here for now unless a mod wants to move it] For those that don't subscribe to the GW newsletter a new one has come though saying that in July and august we will see new daemons.. not sure why,...

Either i'm losing it or GW are...

Just had a look on the GW website at the new boar boys , and theres only £15 for 5, which seemed a little off. Then i checked against the cost of Chaos knights, as they surely would be the standard £25, but they're £13.50.... Next i thought i would check cold ones, and they're the same. Have i gone ...

Calisson, i love it! although i think being able to shoot large targets might mean that they get killed more easily, and so GW will make them a prime target for the power creep. As for riders on large targets - perfect! All of a sudden magic users have a place to hide! a rider not able to attack, is...

love it. I tried constructing a similar list, with 4 warrior blocks 4 masters, and 4 assassins. Each master had a nullT to counteract the fact that i had no magic defense... Problem was i couldn't get the points down to make it a list i think could win well... I'm going to try something similar with...

I was just reading the Invocation and it says you must raise unit champion then command models, what if the unit didn't have these at the start of the game? It says you must raise them first. so if you don't have them you just raise normal models. I would have let him have them - like Bies says, i ...

i have no problems with complexity. 'Recent' moves with the simplification of 40k (especially with the codex's) mean that I'm not bothered if fantasy gets more complex. 40K's core rules have become simple and fun, fantasy should be more interesting and epic to counteract this. I like the idea of inf...

Striking in initiatiave order - 5th edition anyone? IIRC no. i wasn't too hot on the rules in 5th ed, but the way initiative has been suggested in many posts in this thread would make it work very differently from 5th ed. And i remember it working quite well anyway. and as for it being not how comb...

Our gaming board back home just consists of two sheets of chip board cut to size from a mill (you can get it cut when you buy it if you get it from a proper mill), and then we painted it green. Makes sliding stuff along it easier, and you don't get wear on the table. also you don't have to worry abo...

Honestly what made me place the order was the 500 limited edition <.< Not sure if I'll find use either. I'll probably order the standard bearers later as well ^^ perfect addition for my Altar of Atharti when it has BSB upgrade ^^ You can get Asharah free if you get both that musician and standard.....

Is it me or do they look like 25mm bases? As for the wings, Awesome! I wasn't expecting them to look that good! there by far the best bit of the Gargoyle models! However I think to help keep the cost down and make them easier to convert, plastic daemonettes might be better. would be great to see the...
